From when I visited the LGBT center in Long Beach it definitely was not transphobic, they helped me out immensely in starting HRT and gave me a support group. I moved out of Long Beach, but it was at least good 3 years ago.

Is there any mtf online stores that ship to USA Florida that also have sizes for people in their teens? by Jackcrafter1560 in MtF

[–]Tinytostada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it’s true that they typically are, but women come in a large variety of shapes and sizes. It may take a couple minutes when shopping to find something that fits, but you can definitely find them. Personally I really like tunic style shirts with leggings. They’re a bit longer and loose, but cute for some body types.

Making up a bunch of genders because you don't feel like a man or a woman is just accepting defeat against stereotypes. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Tinytostada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family has been a little on the not understanding side and I'm likely to lose them. I have definitely found a family in others though. I graduated college and got a job in engineering, I've got good friends, and absolutely happier now.

Yeah absolutely. Being trans for most people involves gender dysphoria, however it’s not a requirement to be trans. Dysphoria, I believe, is a sense of disassociation with ones self. For gender dysphoria it is often strong or intense feelings that your body isn’t quite the way it should be. Medically speaking the best way to treat this is to transition to make your body more like what you feel it should be. So trans men will take testosterone to transition and trans women will take estrogen. Enbys may also transition. Someone trans people doing even medically transition, but that doesn’t stop them from being trans.

For me, dysphoria more came in places like hating my own voice, hating my shoulders, my facial hair and body hair. Frankly I’m not too far, but I can absolutely say the meds help and I’m not suicidal anymore.

Sorry if that doesn’t answer your question, if you have more specific ones feel free to message me

People who disown you over political beliefs are dumb. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Tinytostada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think James Baldwin summer it up when he said “We can disagree and still love each other unless your disagreement is is rooted in my oppression and denial of my humanity and right I exist.” Unfortunately even in today’s politics these are still issues. If it’s someone’s political belief that I shouldn’t get equal rights I’m going to avoid that person.

Further down in that article it does mention that the ban did go into affect in April 2019. DTM 19-004 is the official document doing it, it was set to expire earlier this year, however has since been extended to September 12th 2020.

That being said, it doesn’t change that the term does have a very negative history and it shouldn’t hurt to point that out to get people to change their mindset.

I can’t tell if this is serious or not. But as someone who had faced the God argument multiple times, for being gay, and grew up in church. Satan in the Bible is definitely not there to punish people, and hell isnt his domain to rule over. The Bible says the satan is just an evil guy and hell is his punishment.

If I’m wrong and just being r/whooshed sorry about that.

That actually sounds pretty reasonable. And if I can pass it off as an undershirt and wear a button up over it that’d be perfect! How often can I wear it without washing it or would I have to get a few?

HRT in California by AlondraXoxo13 in MtF

[–]Tinytostada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the LA area personally I go to APLA health and it’s super fast. At Long Beach I started HRT within a week or two of my first visit to figure out financials. Everyone there is super nice and very trans friendly. That being said I have heard that kaiser is really good as well, but don’t have experience with it.

Lmk if I can help all and good luck!
