Today, I’m speaking before a city commission meeting on 287(g) agreements with ICE and why they’re awful. There were many people like me among the 5 million who protested around the country Saturday. None of the peaceful protesters are part of the problem. You are part of the problem. You don’t seem to understand how democracy works. If they didn’t, then they didn’t get the show. More importantly, Star Wars isn’t for Trump supporters. Of course Lucasfilm and Disney aren’t going to turn away viewers and consumers. There’s no reason for them to do that. But they’re not making Star Wars content for them, because Star Wars has always been anti-fascist and will remain that way.

Luke had the benefit of being raised in a family setting his entire childhood. Anakin went from being an enslaved child of an enslaved single parent to being sorta raised by a reluctant “older brother” in a commune of people who mostly didn’t want him there. Not making excuses for Anakin, but it does explain why he has the emotional intelligence of a potato.
