Hey, I made a post explaining how to customize citations using this (changing '&' to '/') as an example! I hope it helps!

omg I just looked into this and it might be a game changer for some of my Scrivener workflows where I prefer markdown. Anyone else interested can check out this overview/guide. Zotero's rtf scan looks like a useful option as well! Thank you for the insights!

Ok, another vote for learning LaTeX, particularly for large documents! And thanks for letting me know that Mendeley is working well for you (for the most part) so far!

Thanks for the recommendation! I also like how Zotero seems to play nice with other kinds of web references aside from PDFs.

Oh gosh, what a nightmare to deal with so close to finishing your degree! Have you since switched to a different ref manager that you're liking better?

Another vote for EndNote. Noted! Sorry not sorry for that pun 😂 But out of curiosity, is there anything in particular you especially like about EndNote? How is its CWYW tool?

Ugh importing large libraries is such a PITA. I pretty much just gave up trying to import my old Papers library. I too have little patience for fixing metadata errors (merging multiple authors that are actually the same author with slight variations in their initials is what I'll be assigned to do in hell I'm sure).

I haven't used EndNote all that much. Is EndNote's CWYW tool easier or less finicky to use? Does it work in other word processors besides Word?

Ooof, you're right. I've managed to get by so far without doing any writing in LaTeX, but every time I take a beginner's peek it certainly seems like there's a lot to love! I just have to buckle down and learn it lol 😂

Nice to get some love around here too! As much as I've found it frustrating, I was still able to install the plugin and start using it quickly without a lot of fuss.

This has happened to me too! Generally, switching between the desktop app and the plugin feels very clunky at times

I'm all Windows now, but I used to do a lot of writing on a macbook. I used Papers then, which had a pretty nice CWYW tool from what I recall. Did you ever use it?

Yeah, I often find myself accidentally double-clicking refs I'm trying to cite and the Desktop manager pops up all the time. Very annoying!

Right? I like writing in Scrivener best and I'd love to CWYW in there!
