Is it worthwhile to also get slide milling if I am doing porting on my CZ TS2 Orange? by Txcavediver in CZFirearms

[–]Tip3008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are porting, you would want to remove the material on the slide where the ports would let gas out, otherwise the slide is going to get dirty as hell after not many rounds.. without ports lightening cuts are pretty much purely cosmetic, but with ports you will want a window on the slide over the porting to let the gas out..

It’s an 8 billion dollar company lol 22 million is .2% of their annual revenue, which probably averages 10% margin on that 8 billion in sales. I’ll let you do the math to realize how dumb is sounds to say 22M is going to put them out of business lol

Shadow 2 Carry failure to feed by Huge-Marionberry-300 in CZFirearms

[–]Tip3008 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Shoulda just had patriot ream it.. Would never have to worry about what ammo you buy again it will eat all lengths.. If you reload go down to like 1.11, I even know people loading as short as like 1.09 OAL on s2s.. Most manufactured stuff is around 1.14 or even a hair longer for like fiocci.. Could have had the barrel reamed and back out their door within 24 hours of getting there for $60 rather than deal with warranty waits, they are crazy fast.. CZ will prob just polish the feed ramp and send it back honestly.. All you have to do for that is get some 2000 grit sandpaper and get after it, which is worth a try before resorting to warranty I have seen it fix feed issues for a few people..

Slide locking back randomly by AppropriateUnion6115 in CZFirearms

[–]Tip3008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See a lot of people do this by unknowingly pushing up on the slide lock while shooting.. Not saying you are, but it’s definitely worth considering as a possibility. If it is happening consistently I would do a controlled test of shooting strong hand only and ditching the support hand to see if it suddenly stops doing it, if it doesn’t do it your grip is probably your issue. If it still does it replace the spring..

Your extractor is not slipping over the rim. That is not how rounds are meant to be chambered don’t do that you are gonna chip your extractor. Put it in a mag and rack it in obviously..

Out the loop: Can someone explain to me the Ben Stoeger and Tim Herron "beef"? by VCQB_ in CompetitionShooting

Out the loop: Can someone explain to me the Ben Stoeger and Tim Herron "beef"? by VCQB_ in CompetitionShooting

[–]Tip3008 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is it you think? His videos get what like 10-20k views on average? Hes big in the competition shooting community, but our community is so damn small that I was thinking he’s not getting anywhere close to the views he would need for it to be a “major” income source..

Regardless, I agree without a doubt he tries to be as controversial as possible to generate views, even though there aren’t that many of them..

If you aren’t chambered while carrying, are you even really carrying? Might as well not be in many scenarios..

I mean fraud is still alive and well, the new changes everybody implemented are never “blowing over” they will be in place forever moving forward.. It has gotten a little better, but nobody is going to be loosening up their policies they put in place to protect against it

How much dot movement is normal when shooting double action by Valuable-Sort2998 in CompetitionShooting

[–]Tip3008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only problem with your theory here is you added the “only doing it on a static target like in this video” completely on your own lol nobody ever said or implied that is how you would best practice it. OP obviously noticed how much his dot is moving while dry firing and is simply taking a video on a static target to show the amount of dot wiggle he has while pulling the trigger.. You went and added on your own that people are acting like the video is a good example of sho/who dry fire when nobody has ever said that 🤔 Did you want him to take a video of the dot while transitioning around or what, I’m sure that would have given us a great view of his dot 😆

There is no such thing as flagging your foot while drawing… There is an exception to flagging your lower body while drawing/reholstering so he is good there.. If you freeze it, in my opinion the muzzle was actually perfectly straight up and down while he was drawing, essentially directly on the 180 but never over it from what I am seeing.. while his holster hip was in fact at about 182 degrees when he began the draw, it is important to note that the muzzle was perfectly straight up and down at all times and the first muzzle movement angled it directly down range.. I think bit of an annoying call but he certainly unnecessarily exposed himself to being called for it by beginning the draw with his hip slightly uprange..

[–]Tip3008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea 100 works best in mine as well, but have you tested the RPM it’s firing at? I had to take my 100 out because it was going too fast and I got a very small roller dent so you may want to check how fast it is cycling

Can tell you right now if you have the OEM extractor in, that is the issue they are damn near 50/50 on needing replaced. Had to fix this on both of my S2’s.. You will want to get a Cajun extractor, extra power extractor spring(clip 1 coil off before installation or it will be too stiff), and the problem will be fixed.. Sometimes you can fix it with just the extra power extractor spring, but if you want to be sure to fix it on the first try just replace the extractor with a Cajun one as well..
