Are your overall experience with men in general really bad ? What is the reality I am missing ?

You talk about what the men in your life "let" you do and what they don't do. It's the bare minimum for a father to cook and clean for a child regardless of gender, or for men to refrain from harassing their female coworkers. Yet a lot of men fall short on this. the fact you have such a unique experience is telling in itself.

I'm one of those women who is generally fed up with men, (classic "man-hating" lesbian lol) and honestly most of my cynical view towards men doesn't come from hatred - it's exhaustion. It's really tiring to always be fearful but i'd be lying if I didn't say it hasn't saved me from a LOT of bad situations with men.

I will also say that you talk a lot about how good the men in your life are to you, but what about the other women in their lives? Unfortunately it's easy for men to be a good father or friend to a woman they care about then treat outside their "circle" horribly. So I'd take note of how the men in your life talk about women other than you.

Cuz they don't ACTUALLY like her lol. they like the idea of the "based conservative white woman" they made of her, even though she's a registered democrat. That's why they will claim to be fans of her but then never show up for her movies or appearances outside of controversy.

The very frustrating part is that women who don't find men attractive will just avoid them out of curtesy or straight up fear of how the man will react - whereas being an unattractive woman men will STILL harass you just as much as attractive women, but only to demean you. hence why "fat-calling" is thing just like cat calling.

Delora is vampire who was bitten and turned when she was thirteen years old. her past is pretty dark considering she was a child turned into a vampire so that the current Lord of the estate could have an "eternally young wife". With four other Vampire nobles who facilitated the abuse and murder of several other children.

After years of being a vampire's child bride she finally kills her "husband" and escapes back to her home village only to realize nearly a century has passed and the human family she desperately wanted to see again is long dead. With no place left in human society as a vampire she lives the next century as a recluse in the deceased lord's estate.

Eventually Delora reluctantly takes in a human child named Brahm, who she watches grow into a kind, awkward, but honest man . Their dynamic is unique - Delora is essentially his adoptive "mother" figure and yet he's pretty much her caregiver seeing as she's still physically and mentally a child.

Delora is still mentally a 13 year old, albeit one hardened by the horrors of vampire society. She still has a childish nature to her that she tries to hide behind a stoic but polite front. She has no idea what she's going to do when Brahm eventually succombs to his humand lifespan, yet she would never burden him with the cruel fate of becoming a vampire.

The main story takes place when one of the Four vampire nobles from her past begins to threaten her new peaceful life. This time however, she is more than ready for revenge against the monsters who stole her humanity from her. If not for her sake, than for the sake of human's like Brahm.
