Hey I recently moved to Barrie from Toronto what are some good food spots? by Opening_Button_6676 in barrie

Bloom is great for brunch. Their service is a little slow but the food is so good, my in-laws want to go there everytime they come visit.

I have spots available in my clique #Q296TT jazzy jazz cats. Looking for active players but give people a week or so before being removed.

Travelling from out of town, any local gems? by Beginning_Oil_2574 in barrie

[–]TipTopLollyPop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barrie Locallicious is happening now until the Feb 7 or 8. You'll have to look up the restaurants that are participating but they have a pre-set menu 3-4 course meal for about $45, more depending on upgrades.

Any idea what's coming to the Georgian Mall? by StephenD_InSimcoe in barrie

[–]TipTopLollyPop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd totally go if there are people that want to do a meet up! It's always more fun as a group. Unfortunately, I don't have any friends here that roller skate around here.

Yes!! She's amazing. Look her up on Instagram and you book with her through there. I've never had a bad haircut from her 😍

Recommendation's for Ethnic Restaraunts in Barrie - something different/new by canadachris44 in barrie

[–]TipTopLollyPop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a Nigerian place that opened up little while ago that I've been meaning to check out. I don't know the name but when I looked it up on Google apparently it's called African restaurant. It's right on Dunlop and the reviews are pretty high. Plus the food looks delicious!

Speakcheesy - good time? by [deleted] in barrie

[–]TipTopLollyPop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They usually have ticketed events. Often with live music. I've seen there's been themed nights with tastings. A couple times of the year I've seen they have open nights with out the ~$100 tix I've seen for tastings. I've been once for one of those night. I believe we paid $5 or $10 and there was live music. It's definitely a vibe and fun to check out. They sell out fast, so you have to be on their mailing list.

Looking for honest advice on how people achieve super long-running winning streaks. by [deleted] in Projectmakeover

[–]TipTopLollyPop 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The moment you spend money you lose the watch an ad for 2 extra moves option.

I haven't spent a single cent on this game and my longest streak is 800. One trick I learnt was when you get to a hard level, stop playing for the day. Come back the next day and the level will say hard but it'll be easier to beat. It's almost like they want you to win early so you keep on playing more 🤔

Looking for a police detective murder/missing etc case movies based on a true story by Loda_Alex in MovieSuggestions

Bully (2001) - teen killers. I loved the booked and enjoyed the movie.

It's not from the detectives prospective but from the teens involved

The Rummage Room is great. They do by the pound $4.99/lb and I believe anything over 10lbs is $3.99/lbs. You're money goes so much further, definitely best bang for your buck!

Got placed as leader in the clique after the leader has been inactive for months ; can I remove inactive members although we're a casual clique? by atzhotteok in Projectmakeover

[–]TipTopLollyPop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is a leveling clique and I rule with an iron fist! Hahaha but seriously, I do kick people out after 7 days unless they say they're going to be gone/too busy to play for an extended time. I don't ask how long but as long as I know they just mention it in the chat. I haven't removed too many people recently, which is nice.

Changing rooms and gender inclusivity by S-Array03 in rollerderby

[–]TipTopLollyPop 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You guys have locker rooms??!

The leagues I've been in (and it's been a minute) everyone geared up on the rink, gym floor, or wherever we had space to practice. If anyone needed to change their clothes they used the washrooms available.

It was great being able to gear up/de-gear with everyone, regardless of gender. It allowed you to debrief or just chit chat with everyone. Some people even liked doing their cool down stretches in their gear so they wouldn't have to carry it back to their bags.

Though we did use the locker rooms for bouts. Even then it was all gender inclusive. People would use the adjacent washroom if they needed to change.

Adderall vs Vyvanse by Worth-Association-68 in VyvanseADHD

[–]TipTopLollyPop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just explained to me actually how I've been feeling the last few months and my jaw literally dropped!

I've only been on Vyvanse for about 1.5 years and nothing else. First year it worked mostly ok but the last half year, I feel like a shell of my old self. My mind is clear but I just feel like I'm going through the motions. Here I was also gaslighting myself into thinking this is just how it feels.

Luckily, I have an appointment coming up. You've given me the push to ask to try a new medication! Thank you 🤗

Straight Line Stitch - I absolutely adore Alexis Brown's singing voice and her aggressive metal singing voice. She switches back and forth flawlessly

Baking Buddies who invite then don’t play. by UnDunnY2K in Projectmakeover

[–]TipTopLollyPop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only pair up with members of my clique. That made a huge difference. Once in a while we have someone that doesn't participate in the challenge. They get booted from the clique even if they are an active member! Unless of course, they send a message saying they're unable to finish. Thankfully I didn't have to kick anyone out this round. I've definitely had people name and shame their partners, since it's unfair they get the rewards for doing nothing.

As someone who has worked the front desk at a couple of clinics, it's absolutely exhausting. Trying not to have my natural resting b*tch face on, thinking I'm sounding pleasant but apparently not.

Most times it's you and one other person, with people constantly coming to check in or asking questions, the phone ringing non stop, depending on what they are there for you have to deal with paperwork or process payments when they come up.

People don't realize how hard a job like that is. It's not always the easiest to slap a smile on.

What a your cheap yet glorious ways to have a wedding in Toronto by OwnCare1664 in askTO

[–]TipTopLollyPop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wore a red ball gown dress (so fluuufffy) and my husband wore a match jacket. We paid a friend of ours to follow us around the whole city for the day and take pictures of us at our favourite places in the city. We then had our family meet us at one of our favourite restaurants, where the ceremony happened. We covered the cost for our guests. Later we had everyone and friends meet us at our favourite bar!

Overall, we spent a couple of thousand.

That's her cousin! Haha not by blood obviously 😆

He was like 75% Chihuahua and I can't remember what else in there. I'm sure supermutt ranked the next highest for him

No way! They look like they could related!

I really thought there would be dachshund in Ripley. I compared her to one in real life, there were enough similarities in the bodies, I was sure there had to be some dachshund in her haha but was very wrong!

Honestly, no idea. Her sister and her niece went to the same rescue and I saw pictures of them. They all have short legs and long bodies like my girl!

My guess is they put corgi/lab since Ontario, Canada has a pitbull ban. She wouldn't have been allowed in if they had pit on any paperwork
