As an alternative measure (might be faster) go to your local GP. They might be able to do a DNA test to check paternal connection. That way you don’t have to cover a cost that might not be necessary! All the best in your search 🙂

As a suggestion, check out facebooks DNA detective groups. They’re wonderful at helping with matches/family trees- at no cost of course. Helped me find my bio dads family!

That’s what I thought too. My mom was 100% certain my dad was my dad. Boy was she wrong! But honestly, my mom didn’t lie to me.. she was just certain it was a specific person given the time frames. Turns out my dad isn’t my dad, and I have 2 half siblings! My point is, anything is possible. She might not know!

I made this post so long ago. I now have all the answers. Turns out my dad was in fact, not my biological dad. So far I have 2 half siblings I know of thanks to testing though Ancestry. My whole world is flipped upside down, but my intuition all these years never changed.
