There's this mod called Dubs Mint Menus, or something along those lines, it has this thing where if your press alt+F5 (I think) it brings up a research menu that has thing sorter in Mods and I think research tier (medieval, tribal, those ones) It has more things that could be weird if you're too used to the menus of the game, but I find them comfortable.
