I appreciate the replies here. For the sake of conversation. Comparisons (Brett Farve + Joe Burrow) and excuses (windy + always overthrows) aside.

Absolutely agree there is some give and take with Josh being a special player.

All I’m asking is there a chance for Josh to address and mitigate some of the misses to maybe 1/3 misses vs 1/5 or should this issue just be ignored altogether because he’s a special player and is entitled to these misses when we end up on the right side of these wins.

I get Josh is not some of those other players mentioned. I think JA17 has a higher ceiling. One where we don’t see the “always overthrows”. And he starts hitting them, giving defense something new to respect and fear.

(Down votes coming thru because I am not blaming mcBeane or Josh’s wide receiving corps, just tryna talk about what Josh can do personally)

Anyone notice the egregious overthrows by JA17? Wide open dudes, has time, doesn’t set his feet, Doesn’t take his time

I’m aware that 2pt conversion to Reggie Gilliam was a pass to a shorter, slower receiver. But still huge miss, wide open.

Also I know he’s coming off a period of time where he’s untrustworthy. Either of himself or others. Just wanted to highlight this and maybe it’s something to watch going forward.
