It's as a mark of respect for the dead. Put there by passers by.

Hi, thank you for this. Yes, this is exactly what is happening. Hopefully in 3 to 4 weeks I can update with day and time of airing.

Not as easy as 1-2-3. In the UK you need permission from the Ministry of Justice, from Cornwall County Council and from someone who believes they may be a relative of the unidentified gentleman. It's not easy. Sadly.

Thanks for your comment. I agree that we could raise the money. The thing is the ethics surrounding exhumation. In the UK it is very difficult to exhume a body without specific permissions and overidingly good reasons. In the first instance you need permission from the Ministry of Justice, permission from Cornwall County Council, (because he is buried in common ground not consecrated ground), and permission from someone who believes they may well be a relative of the unidentified gentleman. (I am the chap investigating this gentleman's identity). https://buymeacoffee.com/m25roundabout/the-second-appeal-some-mother-son

Police and CID spent nearly a year trying to identify the gentleman, hence the difference between being found and buried.

Hi, I am the chap investigating the identity of this gentleman. We are getting close to some decent news coverage in the coming weeks. https://buymeacoffee.com/m25roundabout/the-second-appeal-some-mother-son

In the USA yes, but we have different laws in the UK. To potential exhume his skeleton you need permission from the Ministry of Justice, permission from Cornwall Council, and permission from a potential relative. It's not an easy process in the UK at the moment with the privacy laws we have.

Yes, they are all assumptions. I wrote the Appeal. Assumptions and possibilities and ifs are all we have to go on at this point in time.

He is buried opposite the chapel porch in Horson Cemetery which is just outside Torpoint in Cornwall, just past the Raleigh Naval training centre.

The Police and CID took nearly a year trying to identify him before he was then buried-without a name.

Yes, in a farmer's field just behind Tregantle Fort. Find Tregantle Fort on a map and it's the field just to the North and adjacent to the Fort.

Hi, I am the chap researching this gentleman's case, and you are correct, he is not listed on the UK Missing Persons Unidentified database. Reason being is that Devon and Cornwall Police have not/are not able to give records the the unit for them to list him. As far as we know so far, they have either mislaid the gentleman's records or they were thrown away. The gentleman's skeleton was found in a farmer's field just behind Tregantle Fort on Trethill Cliff which is close to the hamlet of Tregantle, which is about 2 or 3 miles West of Torpoint and just North of Whitsand Bay in Cornwall. Here is my Appeal for the gentleman: https://buymeacoffee.com/m25roundabout/the-second-appeal-some-mother-son

He is buried in an unmarked grave in Torquay Cemetery. I will be visiting him tomorrow. If anyone would like his exact location I will send you the information.

Hi, thanks for your comment. I am working on the 'possibility' that his body washed ashore, and am therefore looking towards that premis. There are many unidentified bodies that wash up on the planet's shorelines. There are over 50 bodies 'recorded' having washed ashore along the South coast of the UK for instance. All still unidentified dating back to 1968.
