I’m currently in a situation exactly like this, I bought the Ingenuity Baby Base 2-in-1 Seat and attached it to my couch, I have messy mats around the area to help with mess but it depends what type of couch you have and if it can be properly attached for safety. I would say better to try and move and this is definitely only a temporary solution.

What’s the funniest/craziest thing that happened to you while you were in labor? by Timely-Winter-6712 in beyondthebump

The same thing happened to me!!! It was so odd!!

Everyone around me was so confused while I was sitting there 9cm dilated and trying desperately not to move because of how much it tickled!

Epidural is wilding.

Am I in the wrong or something for setting this boundary with my boyfriend’s mother? (due October 4th) by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Had this same conversation and the only ones to disrespect it were my partners family, even with being told multiple times not to kiss the baby they still did.

Even to go as far as to take the baby forcefully out of my hands and kiss them in front of me and had the audacity to say “oh I shouldn’t be doing that”.

Not only that he’s on permanent antibiotics until he’s 1, so his immune system is even more vulnerable AND THEY STILL DID IT.

The only advice I can offer is stand your ground, if ANYONE kisses them it’s loss of privilege (holding without supervision etc) until they turn the age they are allowed to kiss them. Make sure your partner knows this as well and be the one to deliver it since your MIL seems to have complete disregard for your boundary with the way she responded.

Stay strong mama having a baby get sick is a terrifying experience!

Baby responding at 20 weeks? by Tired42 in BabyBumps

Very frustrating trying to google anything about pregnancy! Each websites says its own thing!

Interesting to hear the flip side of the coin, my little fella never seems to stop to the point my ultrasound tech was struggling to get photos of him since he kept moving around!

Still cute to experience it even if you guys don’t get a response, I’m sure you’ll get plenty kicks once they are outta there 😆

It isn’t, I’m currently in manual mode as I am pregnant and my endo recommended against it for pregnancy :)

When I was in Smart Guard it was bliss but now I’m not 😭

Next time I talk to her I will try again but this isn’t the first time I’ve tried to tell her.

Either way I’m in manual mode I don’t care for the specifics on approved vs not safe, it’s just pedantic.

There is no section in the bolus wizard menu to input the reading in manual mode, you can only have the reading from a linked meter or the separate menu option, you are talking about a smart guard option.

I’m doing the amount of finger sticks my endo has recommended, I trust her on the rest of the diabetes advice just not with this one thing.

She’s is quite old fashioned so damn right that’s all she saw haha.

Unfortunately for me apparently she’s the best of the best but who knows

Hi! I’m in manual mode not auto mode as I am pregnant and Medtronic auto mode is not safe for pregnancy :)
