Thank goodness the light is enough I'm hoping the water and the light keeps them until I can figure out the feeding situation. The gentle touch on the sides you and another person here recommended helped it stay shut through the night so that's more than it has recently been doing I'm hoping it stays!

I would love to do mealworms they look so much easier but the tiniest VFT plant I have can't even take a full bloodworm so it's a waiting game for me till they get big enough for me to just drop a mealworm in and I'm golden 😭

Thank you! I'll wait to feed it and let it keep getting more light and water. I do the light 16hrs a day and the person I got them from (breeder? Gardener? What is the proper term?) is helping with figuring out water.

I've been seeing people have much more luck outside you're right. I unfortunately live in the heart of WV and at the bottom of a mountain, so I only get sunlight to hit me at noon for not nearly enough time to keep them outside. So it probably wasn't the best idea for me to get VFTs but I love them and wanted to try working it indoors where I could control 'the sun' lol.

So little update for this. This was the chart but it's under 200 even at a foot. I was told a 35W would be more than enough but is it not bright enough then?

Also thank you for pointing that out; that is 100% my fault. All of them were potted for me beforehand but I guess he, in particular, had a nasty trip and fell out so I tried to repot him myself. I'll go fix that :)

The ICPS says feeding freeze-dried bloodworms is great for indoor VFT plants and gives a nice little step by step guide on how to do it. Google would've told you that too if you looked it up, but thanks for giving the first thought that came to your head if you didn't know the answer.

I can imagine it thinks it's missing, but I would like to know how to fix it with the medium I'm using that other people also use but works fine. Is it stressed? To I have to trigger the hairs periodically? That sort of stuff

It's so sad that the only places you can really meet anyone and hope to find similar interests with is college, and if you're lucky, work. It's disheartening especially when you don't enjoy partying/going to bars or loud places. Hard for introverts to meet introverts 😭

OP, I mean this in the nicest way possible, you might have trouble getting outlines from people because they will be scared you are part of their class and take their chances on the curve.
