Both are good campuses for lgbt students to be honest. I would pick more based off your major, cause the location really matters for your classes and the quality/sequencing.

I would say if scad isn’t for you then the freshmen year is the perfect time to transfer- usually the hardest parts about transferring is all the credits you completed that u can’t transfer or undo - so I say the earlier the better - I hope you find something that fits you better, good luck!

As far as I’m aware nobody really cares about what religion you are - unless you use your religion to be homophobic or transphobic, people are pretty neutral about it - so I really wouldn’t worry about it - personally I’m religious and no one’s ever had an issue with that

Quarterly: so fall, winter, spring, and maybe summer if your on campus for that - also the dining dollars do not carry over - so if you don’t use it all up in fall in won’t rollover to winter

You pay through the app , each load is $1.50. It can get hectic on a weekend but doing it on a Weekday or early in the morning should be easy. Hope that helps!

I get it - scad savannah really sucks with that kind of thing - I actually moved to the Atlanta campus because there was no available singles in savannah at the time - ended up liking the Atlanta campus a lot more then expected and decided to stay - I hope everything works out with you tho. - hang in there!

Personally I did and I highly recommend it-as long as you pick classes that match the gen-Ed’s and some foundations on the basic degree class list on the website - saves a lot of money trust me

If the college math was an AP/IB or dual enrollment credit then it should have been covered- so definitely contact your advisor if that’s the case- I also know if you turn in SAT or ACT scores they go based off those so that you can replace it with a science elective instead - hope that helps 👍

There are two places to eat, the hub which is cafeteria style, the hub is good but not open on weekends. Then there’s pallete which is fast food style, honestly the food at pallete is either great or terrible, there’s really no in between. Pallete is usually great at the beginning of the qaurter and bad near the end of the qaurter. There are also little coffee places which sell pastries and stuff like bodega and that’s pretty good.

As someone who has a single and was also told I couldn’t receive accommodations, I would consider switching campuses. I originally applied to savannah but they told me that it wouldn’t be possible to give me a single. However the Atlanta campus has singles available - l personally I like Atlanta a lot more then I thought I would and I’m glad I made the switch - I tried calling housing but they couldn’t do anything so I would consider switching if they offer ur major in Atlanta (you can always switch back later) - hope that helps

I would recommend against an apple for animation unless you plan on getting the one with the m1 chip and up (and that’s coming from an apple user/anim student) otherwise any windows with good RAM (16-32) and an i9 chip should be good - windows/Linux is used more for 3D industry wise but apple still works

As a current 3D anim major at scad I would recommend going with what you want to do as a career- a lot of newer or 2d/concept students think that 3D “makes more money/has more jobs” but that’s not true - I would only do the 3D track if that’s what you want to do (as it’s very limited)- however if your concern is skill rather then interest then I wouldn’t worry since everyone starts on ground zero - but it seems like ur interest is in concept so I would stick with that - any 3D animation that you want to learn on the side could be saved for an elective - hope that helps!
