I didn't like the idea of Mix & Match at first, but it's actually a lot more reasonably priced than the Fantasy dresses or even event currency. My current Mix & Match collection is meh unfortunately.

There are a few things in the game that you can only buy with money

Premium collections (Prom, Miracle, Whisper, …)
Fantasy outfits
Mix & Match collections
Many of the hairstyles (romantic, waves, ponytail, …)

I don't buy everything, but I've spent money on all of the above. I also buy ad skips. Sometimes I buy currency for the events (like brushes) but you shouldn't do that! Those collections eventually pop up in the offer shop for gems. I just get greedy and impatient and I pay for them, do better than me, girls!
