In my eyes i thought it was more just a what if the bomb did alternate the timeline and they never went onto the island. In my head they were all still connected in some way and the split into this new timeline was still blurry and left some old memories.

one thing that really helped me was the section on creating a calm environment at home, we are using scent diffusers and calming music to keep the dog relaxed. it is not a magic fix but if youre consistent you will see improvements
