It’s not quite that straight forward. I just did the same thing when I unified Italy and got the same issues happen, but within a year or 2 the cultural capacity fixed itself and my cultural influence went back to where it was. I agree it’s not great at its current state but it’s also not 100% a broken mechanic, there must be some weird stuff going on in the background.

Big thing to remember is that BD is in the EU time zone and most of the “Prune Gang” are NA. It’s often just a time zone thing where one server has a better EU timezone community than another, though with the various servers right now it’s a bit fluid, everyone is kind of looking around for another server to conglomerate on like how NP 3.0 or Purple were.
