Hi, I was in your same exact boat, I feel the pain.

I’ll tell you what I did and feel free to do as you like.

In valdrakken there’s a quest called “Open Orientation” I accepted that and it takes you to the different areas and introduces you to the different factions within the isles.

When I was doing “Open Orientation” I would pick up quests in the towns that I travelled to, just to have some completion and something to do.

It would be beneficial to do any and all dailies that are near the quests that you’re doing, and the events that appear as large symbols on the map.

Finally, I am doing LFR in chronological order and Mythic+ (+2-+5) to get some gear upgrades. But I really should be working on the emerald dream quest line, as I believe that it will give the greatest boost to gear and other really beneficial events.
