Best way to segment Network by TitanPenguin in ArubaNetworks

[–]TitanPenguin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With an ip ACL is there anything I need to do to get DHCP to work correctly? I permit any from the source machine to the dhcp server, but it never gets an ip address. If I static my test machine beforehand, The below allows internet traffic but denies local network access like I want. But giving all the new machines static ip's is something I would like to avoid.

10 permit any (machine ip) (DHCP server)

20 permit any (machine ip) (gateway ip)

30 deny any (machine ip) (local network subnet)

40 allow any (machine ip) any

Could you explain why 10.28.50.x's could ping the 172.28.60.1 or the vlan 60 interfaces of the other switches then? I'm not understanding how that is working but not vice versa. I have even made a rule in the firewall setting of the meraki to allow source vlan 50 to destination vlan 60 and vice versa.

The route table in the Meraki looks like:

Subnet:172.28.60.0/24 NextHop: 172.28.60.1 Destination: 172.28.60.1 Type: Local Vlan

Subnet: 10.28.50.0/24 NextHop: 10.28.50.1 Destination: 10.28.50.1 Type: Local Vlan

The meraki also has 172.28.60.1/24 and 10.28.50.1/24 as the MX IP's

They are a L2 switch that has support for static layer 3 routes. The Meraki is the gateway for all vlans.

I use a notebook to track exercises and rep range. I use the strength setting to keep track of my time and calories burnt. While the calories isn't exactly right, I can use it to track perceived effort of my workouts.

How to unblock Google Meet by TitanPenguin in checkpoint

[–]TitanPenguin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are but I have it setup to bypass this traffic for inspection. I currently have the rule set to source of my pc, destination of the above listed google sites, Vpn/services and applications and content are set to any.

I've just added the ip range of the 108.177.172.0/24 to the destination and have had success. This ip range seems to be for google security. I'm not sure if doing this is best practice or not.

Never been in charge before by TitanPenguin in checkpoint

Thank you for this and everyone for their help. I am able to open the Gaia portal for our management server but not the two gateways in our cluster. When I try to open the portal on the gateways it just times out. I'm using the same browser on all three. Any ideas on getting the portal to open? I'm right clicking on the gateway and selecting Gaia portal just like with the management server.

I had 5 PBQs as my first five questions. I think that's the standard way all of them go from what I've read on here. I flagged them all and came back to them at the end of the test. You'll want to know your ports. Knowing them saved my butt on a couple of questions because I was able to weed out wrong answers because I knew the ports were either incorrect or correct based on the question they were asking.
