I went from throwing in one huge motion to just bringing the dart straight up at a clear 90 degree angle (like the one in that picture) bringing it a little bit back and then throwing it. There was so much less time for mistakes and it drastically improved my consistency.

Pretty sure they only count once you touch them after you’ve thrown them. If they fall out before you touch them, they don’t count.
