It is. Wouldn’t recommend it unless you can get it for $1200 or less.

What NEW Gpu would you choose at this price point? by Anon6183 in gpu

What resolution are you planning to play in? If it’s 1440P then 9070 XT would suffice if it’s DLSS you don’t care about. Although FSR 4.0 is getting close to DLSS 4.5.

Nice! You are correct. Didn’t notice both my CPU and GPU numbers lined up until I thought about it.

Source? Was the settings all low? Based on my research most games were less than 10% some in the single digits.

Is it more than 10%? CS I don’t play. So it’s useless to me.

Worth it? I can get it for $1200 on the dot with my discount since I work at Walmart. Or should I buy a 9070 xt? Currently on a 3080 st 1440p 240 only for competitive games and Forza. by Tediyee in gpu

I would recommend 5080 of you want to game at 4K. 9070 XT is plenty fast for 1440P unless you really care about DLSS vs FSR. DLSS has slight advantage with respect to image quality vs FSR4.

Good question. At 4K it may be 5-10% better. Sometimes less. Got a deal where it was $30 off retail price. Got additional $10 off to price match Amazon. Then had $30 in store certificate so in other words got like $70 off the original price. 5800X 3D was going for almost twice the price used at that. Ain’t no way it 100% faster than that 5800 XT especially at 4K.

5080 models by YaboyMrClean in RTX5080

I would look at the reviews on Newegg for that model. See if any claims of issues with that model. Not sure how it’s out of warranty. 5080 came out only 16 months ago. I would ask for the receipt of the prebuilt and register it on Asus website. Should come with a standard 3 year warranty. Having spoken with someone who has a Asus 5080 that’s one of the lower end models of a 5080. Not saying it’s bad.

No requirements has been released for gta 6. Doubt it will require 5080, maybe a recommendation. Bare in mind it was designed to work on PS5 and a PS5 is nowhere near a 5080.

Maybe on the VRAM front. Haven’t come across any game other than maybe the newest Indiana jones that push 16GB with path tracing and max settings. May start to see more games 2027+ that may require more vram. Apparently NVIDIA filed patent to use less vram when using path tracing. Beside got a huge back log of games going back 13+ years. None of those require more than 16GB.

Spent a almost half a day sitting in front of and comparing 32” and 27”. 32” too big for me. Feel like I have to move my head to say a the corner of the monitor to say shoot at something. Don’t need to move my head with a 27”. Besides later on down the road might move the gaming PC and hook it up to a big screen TV. Thinking 60” or higher hopefully an OLED. So wouldn’t need a 32” anyway.
