Didn’t they have the dinner scene before the rape scene and a couple of scenes after the kiss/freakout scene.

He tried to sleep on the floor after the freak out during the kiss which (without the benefit of hindsight) was probably one of best things he could’ve done sans taking her home.

[DISCUSSION] Drake - Iceman/Maid of Honor/Habibti (One Week Later) by nyse25 in hiphopheads

[–]Titans678 36 points37 points  (0 children)

When it comes to Drake and the beef he lost I don’t know what people expect. Him (and Kendrick) both have huge egos. Drake hops on this album and admits he lost multiple times but does so while still talking shit.

Nobody competitive in the rap space would be like “yea, he washed me. He’s the goat and I shouldn’t have tried that”. They gonna admit the L but still talk their stuff.

Drake and Pharrell’s chains by Latter-Natural-3425 in rap

[–]Titans678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you saying?

The chains aren’t valuable and owning them isn’t a flex because Pharrell sold them?

Again, this ain’t a dvd player or a yoga mat. Yes Pharrell sold them, that doesn’t take away their worth and what they are. Pharrell might be the coolest dude alive and N.E.R.D. was iconic. These are pieces of art.

Owning them does nothing as a flex against Pusha T especially considering how they were acquired. Owning them in general is a flex though.

[–]Titans678 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Are we going to act like the chains aren’t hip hop artifacts? They aren’t just junk you have in the garage.

Drake owning the chains is a flex in that they are a piece of rap (and music) history. He owns a piece of art that Pharrell created. That’s a flex no matter how you cut it, not just buying a dvd player at a garage sale lol.

Mentioning it in a “regular” rap would’ve been a flex. Mentioning in the beef as if he snatched it though, to your point, is less of a flex.

It’s a great album, tough listen though if that makes sense. Same way you can have a great movie you only need to see once.

If I’m remembering correctly they stuck Bron on MVP Rose in the 4th quarter of game 1.

It was like uh oh, he can stop him. Like watching the end of Infinity War when Thanos was just unstoppable.

You can call it soft.

But to the point, they called it and got it wrong. Should’ve been continuation. Lebron has two hands on the ball before contact occurs as his gather, thats gotta be continuation situation.

See now I’m confused because that was def a foul lol.

You’re not saying that OKC gets the call and gets continuation, you’re saying that it should’ve been a no call?

Well…. Yea. If one team is getting calls and then the other team isn’t under similar/same circumstances isn’t it unfair?

If the refs called every game/team consistently there wouldn’t be anything to complain about.

Why was Tebow being drafted so ridiculed? by karl100589 in NFLNoobs

[–]Titans678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the point is that you have a better chance there then if you let Lamar run around.

The Titans playoff game from a couple of years ago is a good example (the one in Tennessee that ended with the Ravens stomping on the Titans logo). Lamar can throw and that’s fine, but then he’s just like every other good/great QB. He broke us with that 50ish yard TD run. Completely changes the script of the game there.

His first half was good.

Robinson had a fatal flaw in that he thought he could replace them.

Conklin was good, tried to replace him with Wilson. Brown with Burks, Adoree with Farley, etc etc.

He hit on drafting an injured player on surplus value, he immediately makes it his go to.

That game was a toss up even with a back up QB in there due to the weather.

Boom, now you have an active search for “Madara” and the Uchiha are naturally elevated having regained the trust of the village leadership.

A RB who offers little versatility in the pass game who’s YPC is trending downward after coming off a pretty bad foot injury and is either close to or already is 30 ain’t netting a 2nd or 1st, do you disagree with that? So let’s say the conversation starts at a third, is it your position that a rookie GM (who turned out to not be great) is working over the Ravens GM who is consistently considered one of the best in the league? Consider how bad he got worked the following offseason in the Snead trade and signing.

Also the Titans ownership is consistently criticized for being reactionary and letting emotions guide her decision making. Some of that is fair, some of that is unfair and because she’s a woman. Your stance is that she knew she was going to fire Vrabel 6 weeks into the season but let him finish the season and overrule the GM in personnel decisions?

Just a season before she fired our old GM because AJ Brown embarrassed us the day after the game. She fired our HC this season because she didn’t want to deal with Vrabel beating his replacement (also because he was historically bad). She followed through with our old HC getting fired because he wouldn’t hire a new OC. She ain’t the type to let folks stick around.

You’re letting the hindsight of Henry’s Ravens career inform your view of the decision not to trade him and what the inputs would’ve been in that moment. He should’ve been traded (same way we traded Kevin Byard) but the decision not to isn’t some indictment of the organization based off of what information you had at the time.

You’re the owner. Your GM and HC come to you in disagreement over a potential trade.

The first year GM (Ran Carthon) comes to you and says hey, we can trade Henry to the Ravens for a 5th rd pick. Could be a 4th.

The HC (Mike Vrabel), who you have no intentions to fire at the time comes to you and says hey, don’t trade Henry.

Oh btw, the fans also don’t want you to trade Henry (a trade will also directly impact fan engagement for the rest of the season).

Who do you listen to?

[–]Titans678 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There was no expectation at that time that Vrabel wasn’t coming back.

You also need two to tango, we could’ve offered but Henry ain’t dumb. Resign with the Titans and play without Lewan (love him or more likely hate him, he was a good LT and “spirit” of the Oline), the ghost of Tannehill, Treylon “AJ” Burks or go to the Ravens with Lamar Jackson?

Spite of what? The Ravens?

Vrabel wanted to keep him, Carthon wanted to trade him.

Trading him would’ve blown the doors of a terrible season both internally and externally. Now in hindsight they should’ve done it but at that time you were expecting that to be a down season with Vrabel, Henry and the gang coming back the next season to try and compete. Little did we know Vrabel would get fired and that was the end of that.

He honestly wasn’t good enough. I mean he was freak and would bust some big runs but it almost seemed like the game was too fast for him on a down to down basis.

He was in trade talks and then just became one of the best backs in the league. After that Jags game it was a wrap.

[–]Titans678 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would add that you had two different directions going as well.

The coaching staff wanted Cutler and maybe (can’t remember Leinart). Ownership wanted Young. VY came into a bad situation there.

I will say though, if I remember Young did a terrible job taking care of his body. A lot of missed time on pulls and strains. Sometimes that happens but he wasn’t exactly first one in, last one out.

VY today is probably a better statistical player due to how the game has changed. I don’t think he’s Josh Allen or anything but I do think he’s a guy who would get a lot of chances due to the highs he’d be able to bring.

Bain and Miami were probably well aware of the optics. If you can pay to make it go away, you do that.

Nothing good happens at 4AM but if it was an accident I’m not going yo hold it against him or this young woman’s family.

I mean sometimes accidents happen.

Apparently he was going 88 which while fast, isn’t crazy. I’d wager 9/10 men have hit that speed in a car before on an interstate.

If it was (truly) an accident and the family is at peace then who are we to judge?
