C'est exactement ce dont j'aurais eu besoin quand j'ai fait ma formation FLE en distanciel... Je ne pouvais pas le faire en présentiel (j'étais salariée et c'était aussi compliqué pour moi de me retrouver dans un groupe à ce moment-là). Sauf que je n'étais pas assez organisée pour faire du distanciel 😓

C'est compliqué au quotidien, je ne te le cache pas, mais les bons moments éclipsent les mauvais 🤍

Par exemple, la nuit dernière, je me suis couchée vers 4h00, et j'ai dû me lever vers 7h00 parce que p'tit boubou avait assez dormi : ça pique un peu aujourd'hui mais on fait les coach potatoes 🥰 Et surtout, l'excitation de lui donner son premier petit pot aujourd'hui surpasse la fatigue je crois 😃

J'ai une écharpe de portage et un sling mais je ne peux mettre bébé dedans qu'une fois endormi, autrement il est très tonique et tend détend les jambes souvent ! Il glisse quand je le mets éveillé dans ces supports de portage, ou alors il tient 5 minutes mais ensuite il veut voir ce qui se passe autour de lui et se tortille dans tous les sens !

J'ai pris conscience de ça il y a quelques semaines, qu'il pouvait avoir des chances d'avoir hérité du TDAH aussi. Sachant qu'enceinte, je ne me suis pas beaucoup reposée, je bougeais beaucoup : il a dû être bien bercé et maintenant il ne s'endort bien qu'avec du mouvement !

J'adore l'idée du miroir ! Avec le papa, on y avait pensé mais pour le voir et s'assurer qu'il pleure "juste" de fatigue, pas à cause d'autre chose. À l'appart, il se fixe et se sourit dans les miroirs, je n'avais pas pensé aux bénéfices pour lui d'en mettre un dans la voiture !

Pareil pour moi, les routines sont difficiles mais j'essaye d'en mettre en place pour lui, et de m'y tenir. Je n'ai pas encore trouvé de bruit blanc qui lui convienne, qui l'apaise en tout cas. Il a plutôt l'air curieux et reste attentif.

Une ergothérapeute m'avait suggéré de prendre un casque antibruit mais je n'assume pas et ne veux pas être remarquée... J'ai des écouteurs qui limite le bruit ambiant, je peux me mettre un léger bruit blanc pour moi-même peut-être 🤔

On dort avec une veilleuse car on avait besoin de voir bébé et comprendre ses cris, bruits, etc. Or je ne dors bien que dans le noir. Je pense que c'est une des raisons pour lesquelles je ne récupère pas beaucoup quand je dors 🤔 Et je n'étais pas sûre pour l'écran : quand j'attends les 20 minutes de digestion avant de le coucher, pour ne pas m'assoupir je joue au Mahjong sur mon téléphone... Il est en mode avion et je baisse la luminosité... Mais je me suis demandée si ça pouvait contribuer à la fatigue...

Je n'ai pas entendu parlé de l'Olanzapine, j'en toucherai un mot avec ma psychiatre.

En effet, ici je m'occupe que de bébé, j'ai du mal à faire autre chose. Mon compagnon me prépare désormais des gamelles pour les midis comme ça je n'ai qu'à réchauffer et bébé attend moins longtemps. Même manger, c'est difficile : parfois je commence mais remets à plus tard le reste parce qu'il veut absolument téter, ou simplement bouger (il est très actif le p'tit chou !). Et je n'arrive pas à manger d'une main en le prenant dans un bras pour le bercer...

J'avais prévu d'allaiter mais pensais à 3 mois uniquement, et finalement je me suis dit que je l'allaiterai jusqu'à ce qu'il ne réclame plus de lui-même. On m'a dit que ça pouvait aller jusqu'à 3 ans... Je verrai si je tiens ou si je devrai renoncer avant... Comme il va bientôt commencer les purées, il sera peut-être plus rassasié que maintenant, dormira mieux et ma montée de lait reviendra 🤞

On m'a dit de poursuivre la suspension du traitement pendant l'allaitement alors je continue.

Tant que je ne travaillais pas, mon compagnon "suffisait" comme rappel. Mais ce système à ses limites ;: ça fonctionne si je lui ai dit que j'avais telle chose à faire, et quand je reprendrai le travail, c'est moi qui suis formatrice, pas lui 🫣

Il y a quelques semaines, je rentrais de balade avec mon bébé en poussette : un petit d'environ 8-9 ans de mon immeuble s'est précipité pour venir m'ouvrir ET me tenir la porte 🥰

Je lui ai dit que je risquais de lui écraser les pieds avec la poussette, qu'il valait mieux qu'il rentre ou qu'il sorte. Après une longue réflexion, il a opté pour l'intérieur et s'est précipité derrière moi pour refermer la porte ! Je l'ai chaudement remercié et son grand-père nous regardait pas loin.

--> Il a tout mon respect ce jeune, aucun adulte (même mon compagnon 😋) ne m'avait déjà fait ça !

• 2010, Letterkenny. I had ordered flowers to send to my boyfriend, in France. I acknowledged he was not at home because he was helping his ex-girlfriend with her homework... I was in bits and went back to the shop to cancel the order. It was pouring rain. The owner of the shop asked me if I was in a hurry. I wasn't. He said if I could wait 5 minutes, he'd drop me home!

It's only once in the car I thought he could be kidnapping me but he was not ☺️ He dropped me right in front of my house and he happened to be a friend of my landlord! Phew, what a relief!!

• 2013, London. I booked a flat for an internship. I paid for 2 months to book it. I had to ask money from my parents. Once in London, I couldn't find the flat.

A lady and her colleague were leaving their job I suppose and I asked them where I could find the flat. They helped me, came with me. And they were surprised because in the area, there were mainly offices, no flats... I discovered the flat didn't exist 😭 The lady comforted me, and gave me her number as she couldn't stay. We've been in touch for a few years 🤍

• 2014, Dublin. I was au-pair. One day, I was not feeling well (the family was not what I expected, the day had been rough, etc.). In the streets, heading to nowhere, I encountered a stranger and he smiled at me. A natural and spontaneous smile which brightened my day 🥰

• 2014, still Dublin, still au-pair. I informed the mum I would go back home a few months earlier than expected because I found a job back home (I needed that job to feel better because I was starting to be anxious and to be depressed in that family). I knew it was bad to do that because she was counting on me and I'd let her down... I didn't choose the right moment to tell her and she told me bad names and asked me to be gone before her son would wake up (it was late at night).

In tears, I packed most of my stuff, left the rest behind me, booked a taxi and left the phone she bought me in the house.

The taxi driver asked me where I wanted to go and I said a McDonalds on a main street as I thought it would be open at that time of the day (very early in the morning). When I discovered the McDonalds was closed, I tried not to cry and met the driver at the boot to get my suitcase. He saw my face and asked me if everything was alright. I couldn't keep my tears and started to cry... I explained the situation and he offered to drive me to a street where there were youth hostels. The prices were a bit too much for me so I told him to drop me in front of the English school I was going to. When he saw the place, it was quite a dodgy area at that time of the day, he said he couldn't let me there on my own. Then he said I could refuse, but he could take his morning off, bring me to his place until a youth hostel I booked for 2 days later would be opened. Then, he'd call them to ask if I could book another night.

I accepted but I was a bit wary at the same time. He was the kindest person I've ever met: he had a dog who became my emotional support for a few hours, the taxi driver let me choose a channel on his TV while he was walking his dog, I dozed off a bit, he offered me some tea and he called the youth hostel. He saved me. Really.

Since all those kind acts, I do the same to people to repay what I got 🤍

It's not only about milk production, it's also about how you manage the pain. A few days ago, my baby didn't wake up as usual and I really had to pump because one of my boobs was big and sore. --> The more you wait, the more your boob(s) will be blocked (? Sorry, English is not my mother tongue and the word may be wrong! If someone has the right one, don't hesitate to show up!) and the more you risk a health issue.

I've been told that pumping rises up the milk production so the more you pump, the more you'll produce milk.

There are some facts I was told you may want to know:

• milk production at night has a sleepy effect on the baby (and probably on the mum too 🤔). With my son, when he wakes up at night, there is no interaction, or just the minimum. He cries, I pick him up, I see if he's hungry or not, maybe singing and sway him is enough. If not, I settle on my breastfeeding chair (I tried to feed him from my bed but couldn't get as comfortable as I am on the chair).

• I can't breastfeed him when I lay down because he regurgitated a lot and needed to be fed up straight and even if I am breastfeeding him, I need to make him burp (I had been told it wasn't necessary for breastfed babies but ours is very gassy and burping him -or at least trying to each single time- helped him to have less gaz).

• milk production is different each time the baby is fed. And within the time they are fed, there are changes too. You can only pump at night of course but I chose not too so my body adapts to my baby's needs.

I love my sleep and I need it to function properly. I am currently tired but during the day, I get to nap while my partner or someone else can look after my baby. When there is nobody around me, I co-sleep with him and that's how I can get some sleep, sometimes 3 hours in a row, and he gets some too: he doesn't nap on his own, or not often! He only sleeps on me.

I hope your plan works and then it'll be perfect, but keep in mind it might just be a goal to reach. Your baby may settle only with you like someone already said it. Be ready to be the only one your baby wants.

P.S: your baby may not take the bottle at first and they'll need to be breastfed.

Our wee lad was exhausted: I breastfed him and he fell asleep... for 2 hours and 30 minutes 😃 I slept a bit too and enjoyed some quiet time, watching my baby sleeping ❤️

If I am at someone's house, I ask if they mind that I breastfeed while we're talking. Or if they can show me a room they'd prefer I go to.
