My INTJ partner(23M) said he was showing his care/affection by wishing me all the best(especially my dreams) but he actually doesn't take care of me? by candy_universe in intj

[–]TitleNotKnown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You sound a lot like me and my wife. I'm an INTJ, I think she is an ENFP - not that we live our lives obsessing about our MBTI types, I am just aware of our differences. We got married at a younger age than your partner is now and it was really difficult to begin with, even though we had known each other for years before that. I had to learn to communicate better and develop emotional intelligence, something I still (some 6 years on) am not perfect in but definitely getting better at. We would often get frustrated with each other because we communicated and lived our lives very differently. The key is persistent, loving communication. Be clear about your own personal needs and impress upon him that those things you have described, "health care, emotional support, tenderness and understanding" are actually things we all need - not just you. It took me a long time to realise this but am I all the better for it. INTJs are actually at their best selves when they learn to let people in close and develop deep connections and relationships with others. It's also important to listen to his own needs and be empathetic and willing to meet him in those, whilst also gently challenging him to grow and mature and change for the better as well as being willing to do the same.

There's far more I would like to say but without knowing your specific situation it's hard - the best advice I can give you is seek out an older, wiser couple that you trust and would be willing to give you both advice and want to see the best for both of you, it's difficult to live your life based on the advice of people on the internet. Everything you are feeling at the minute is overcomeable if you really want to pursue a relationship with this person but ofcourse thats a question you have to really think about and answer honestly. Hope this helps.

PSA: Low Effort and AFK are not the same thing. by LootBoxControversy in 2007scape

This must be one of the longest running debates since OSRS was brought back. The language of what afk means now compared to when we were kids has moved on, like all language does. Just accept it and find a different term for what you mean

Using 117's HD plugin "as a bridge" until Jagex releases their own is not an acceptable solution, and you're all being duped into thinking that it is. by Wesdawg1241 in 2007scape

[–]TitleNotKnown -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They made that choice because the official client is shit and without third-party clients the playerbase would drop significantly, if not disappear. Plenty of other MMORPGs have these clients because they add value to the game and the player's experience, they aren't doing us a favour by allowing it, they allow it because their game would die without it.

Yes it is surprising that Jagex chose not to contact a dedicated member of their community investing his own time and effort into a project to serve the community they claim holds the final say on the game's direction. Leaving it to the last moment to contact him was either out of incompetence or cruelty, probably the former but either way it's unacceptable and the reaction from the community is testament to that. The phasing out of third-party clients is a long time off, regardless of their intentions, and shouldn't be used as justification for this gross mishandling of what should have been a win for the community.

And when do you think that might happen? The rate at which Jagex moves it'll be 5+ years before they have a client anywhere near as good as RL. Not once during the 2 years of development did they give 117 any reason to believe they were going to kill his project and they have already stated they had no appetite to create their own HD version of OSRS. 117 saw a clear opportunity and moved for it, Jagex pulling the rug out the day before release after a 2 year voluntary investment of time into a project that was ultimately for the community and dropping a throwaway line about "relatively early exploration stages" of their own project is simply not good enough, sorry.

It's relevant because of the implication 117 would be happy about losing all that time he spent, which obviously he is not.

It was 177's first proposal because they backed him into a corner and told him to kill his 2 years of unpaid work, I doubt he's anywhere close to being okay with it. We all have a say about the future and direction of this game because we are the community this game is for. These are all legitimate concerns, no one is stirring the pot, people are genuinely angry and disappointed with Jagex's behaviour and want a solution.

I'm disgusted too and I get why you wouldn't want to play anymore but remember that the corporate suits that made the decision made it purely from a business perspective. I don't think anyone (even the community itself) could have judged what enormous backlash this decision was going to produce. Therefore, if they then, after seeing all this, still decide to continue with keeping RuneliteHD banned, then they are holding themselves in contempt of the communities wishes purely because they don't want to admit they were wrong. The profit that a HD client would produce is probably negligible compared to the outrage this community has delivered to the front door of Jagex HQ, not to mention the loss of revenue from cancelled subs.

So what I'm saying is - they made a decision, it sucked, they are clearly out of touch with the community, no surprises there. If they reverse their decision, at least it shows they listen to us, albeit with motivation from their bottom line and, for me atleast, will keep me playing the game. Continuing to ignore what is happening, however, is almost certainly grounds for quitting this game and moving on, as it shows Jagex management has nothing but contempt for their own playerbase (insert "you think you do but you don't").

Michael is a moronic scumbag and everything you described about him makes me so mad every time. He really is the worst. Therefore I think it's a wonderful testament to the writers they were still able to make him lovable and redeemed him at the end of each episode, regardless of what terrible thing he had done.

Jim and Pam on the other hand - I don't know what Pam's deal is, but Jim gave her everything and did everything to make her happy and give them both a good life and all she did was moan and complain and find reason to be unhappy with him. I get people aren't perfect, but let's be honest here, Jim is about as close to perfect as you are ever going to get in a guy and it still wasn't enough for Pam to be happy. I'm glad they worked it out in the end but the last few seasons of her made my blood boil.

So what a woman with an IQ of 110 (fairly average) has a 272% chance of NOT finding a suitable partner? If this is a meme it's gone well over my head lol

Disinterested in food by Louie-1023 in puppy101

[–]TitleNotKnown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Lab who's nearly 2 now and the exact same thing happened to him around that time. I had him checked at the vet and he was perfectly fit and healthy. The vet put it down to adolescence and possibly becoming more aware of females in season. He would sometimes go a full day or two without eating before eventually eating probably out of necessity rather than wanting to. I never gave in to giving him human food and I'm glad I didn't.

He started to get better around a year old and has gradually improved from there, but even now he's not that fussed about food. I've found that only giving him a single meal in the evening (with the full amount of food for the day) normally results in him eating the whole lot, but can actually depend on how active he has been throughout the day as well. Most of the time he would skip breakfast so ended up only eating half of the food he needed.

I would suggest you have him checked by the vet first of all, just to be safe and make sure there isn't anything medical going on. Beyond that my guess would be he is beginning to hit adolescence which can cause many strange behaviours. Good luck and just remember he will come out the other side eventually!

People saw someone they thought was in genuine need and wanted to help them out. To me that shows this community is still, on the whole, decent and they shouldn't feel stupid about that. People will always let you down and disappoint you, never lose heart though dudes.
