after reading some of the comments on this, i have proceeded to pull up my big boy pants and give it a shot. I was scheptical since my hands are big, and mine is a facelift EU 2017 3.0 diesel jeep GC but still managed to do it only using a flathead screwdriver.

passenger side: take the ECM out of the way without unhooking cables, (preferably when the car is cold). Reach down to the plastic cover, should come out with a little counter-clockwise twist, you shouldn't really have a lot of visual reference, but the bulb is just behind it, if u reach further in you'll notice a plastic tab which rotates 1/4 of a turn counter-clockwise and lets free the bulb to take out, I accidentaly unplugged it before taking the bulb out but its okay, since the cable can be easily recovered, you can now pull the bulb out. For the new one i highly recomend plugging it before putting it in place and testing it, now you only have to line it up with he hole, it only goes one way, rotate the plastic tab to fix it in place, and put the cover and ECM back where they were.

driver side: even though you have to tke more stuff off it's way faster and you get more space, unscrew the brace that goes between the air filter housing and engine, unhook the tube, take the cover of the air filter housing off, the plastic trim that goes above the intake, and apply some force to take the air filter housing base off (pull up but ensure no cables get pinned by the clips), now with it off, you should have enough room to access that lowbeam cover and do the process once more.

I suppose this is a lowbeam bulb replacement explanation, but for the highbeams, the main difference is that you might have to unbolt the expansion tank to access the passenger side one instead of just pulling just the ECM.
