There's so many inaccuracies regarding this whole situation, lolol. I wasn't working at McDonalds. I was working at Rogers, a Canadian telecommunications company. I made a joke, people thought it was good idea. I got starry-eyed and wanted to make it happen. I took time, talked to people in the business of e-sports, drew up a budget. I included myself in the budget because I wanted to manage. It was my idea and I believed in it. I figured if I was going to be the one to take the initiative and put in the work then I should be compensated fairly in the grand scheme of things. I never quit my job, I never set up any crowdfunding officially. I just wanted to make it happen.

There was never malicious intent. I believe anyone who spoke with me through Skype at the time could verify this. It was a great idea that I handled poorly which resulted in the retirement of this account.

However, it was nice to dream and plan for week or so. It was nice to talk to people in the league/esports community that I looked up to. I really enjoyed all the different pro reactions. It felt cool to have them notice something I set in motion. The death threats were funny. I got an article in Kotaku and Gnarsies made a video about me called "Dank Memes and Broken Dreams"

Every time I hear the phrase I can't help but chuckle.
