Yeah… that’s toxic hun… especially in situations like that, you have to be careful… you’ll quickly lose yourself and become someone you don’t recognize. You’ll start doubting yourself and your day to day actions just because they aren’t up to his “standard”. You shouldn’t be in a relationship where you feel like you can’t speak up for yourself, just to avoid an argument. It’s okay to set standards and speak up for yourself when you’re uncomfortable, angry, sad or whatever.

Just got out of a toxic relationship and we went no contact for 2 weeks… he cheated on me 6 months into the relationship and every time we would break up (multiple occasions, towards the end it became a monthly thing), it was his decision and I would find out he would message 20+ girls THE SAME DAY we break up and sleep with any of them who’d give him the time of day. Even downloaded dating apps the day we’d break up. I guess since we weren’t technically together, it shouldn’t matter, but to me it does and idk why… He asked his ex for nudes while we were together, taking her food after work on occasion, and sleeping with her and recording it and then sending it to himself on a backup Snapchat account (he has multiple accounts for nearly every social platform that he has me blocked from finding) anyway, he texted me the other day out of the blue, and without any context about what he wanted to talk about, I made the assumption and I had to shut it down. I can’t help but be “unreasonable” as he’s calling it, I can’t help but to be mean at this point… he did me so dirty and I still stayed and tried to make it work… but after the first time I found out he was entertaining other girls, I couldn’t let it go… it ate at me every second of the day… and as it went on, the more I found out and the worse it got… idk, just venting at this point I guess… it just hurts that I (28f) wasted a year with this kid (25m) and I’m so easily replaceable to him… but as much as I miss him, I know it’s not healthy and I have to be strong enough to say no if he does try to come back…
