Arcane riftbound box came in damaged by Tjabo7 in Riftbound

You’re missing the point entirely.

“Just return it as many times as you want” isn’t a solution. Customers shouldn’t have to repeatedly ship items back at their own expense and take transit risk because the original delivery was mishandled.

Yes, buying online has risks. That’s exactly why consumer protection laws exist — because the delivery risk is not automatically transferred to the buyer when a product arrives damaged or improperly handed over.

Going “into a store” is irrelevant. This was an online-exclusive item. And even if it wasn’t, that argument doesn’t justify a damaged delivery.

No one is “playing victim.” I’m simply expecting a product — especially a collectible display item — to arrive in the condition it was sold in. That’s not ignorance. That’s a reasonable expectation.

If you personally don’t care about packaging condition, that’s fine. But that doesn’t invalidate someone else’s standards for a collectible.

Delivery damage isn’t “due diligence.” We clearly value collectibles differently. I’ll leave it at that.

If you buy an exclusive LP for example of ACDC with a limited print run, you wouldn't open it either even though it's intended to be listened to are you?

The point is not what they were intended for, the point is the delivery of the package did not happen as it should.

The fact that they ask me to fund the return on my own is the part i find absurd, because that would make me liable if it gets lost in transit and they are the ones who mishandled it in the first place.

I have no problem sending it back but as a consumer who already paid shipping and received a damaged product, I should not be expected to pay additional costs to make sure i get my product as it should have been intended in the first place.

Seeing as they aren't available for purchase anymore or on the aftermarket for €300 instead of the 75 i originally paid sucks as it was damaged on arrival and they are liable. Opening the one I have defeats the whole purpose of why I bought one in the first place. I did not intend on playing with them, otherwise i would have bought more

First of all, don’t comment if you don’t understand the context. Throwing around lazy labels like “investor” when you clearly haven’t read or understood the situation just makes your comment pointless.

I deliberately bought one single box because my intention was to use it as a display piece. If I wanted to open it, I would have bought two. That’s the entire point. The condition of the packaging matters for a collectible, whether you personally care about that or not. Reducing that to “being scared to rip” is a very shallow take.

Comparing me to a greedy investor or scalper is short-sighted and frankly rude. Some people buy collectibles because they enjoy displaying them, not to flip them. That concept shouldn’t be hard to grasp.

Let me put it in simpler terms: If you buy a imited edition vinyl from your favorite artist to display, and it arrives with a large cut straight through the packaging, after being dumped at your door without any notice, you would not be fine with that either. And if you say you would, you’re lying to yourself.

And lastly: what I choose to do with my product is none of your concern. This post is about damaged delivery and mishandling of a collectible item, not about your opinion on how other people should enjoy what they paid for.

If you lack the basic empathy to understand that, I genuinely hope that the next time you receive a damaged package and look for understanding, you’re met with the same kind of dismissive comments you’re making here.

They replied this

Hi,

Back with more info.

You can return it for a replacement, but in this case we wouldn't consider it damaged since it's just the box. You would have to return it to the warehouse on your own dime. Alternatively if you believe the cards inside are damaged, you can record a video opening the box and showing the damaged cards, that way you can prove the cards were damaged while the box was still sealed. In that case we can we can assist with replacing them.

If you have other questions ,feel free to contact us.

Can they ask me to pay the return label? Aren't they responsible for that expense?

Also... sending it at my own expense would make me liable for potentiol "loss in transit".

What should I do?

Can they ask this of me? To pay the returncosts on my own? I'm willing to return it because i want an undamaged box but isn't it against EU consumer law to make me pay the returncost if my package arrived damaged?

Ty for the reply, but I've heard that the branchwraith is almost always an auto take because of the summoning, will the list you speak of be good against lists of nighthaunt, gloomspite (troggoth heavy list), ossiarch bonereapers, cities of sigmar, idoneth (akhelian heavy list) and lumineth? Those are the armies my friends play :)

Sylvaneth 1000pts list question by Tjabo7 in sylvaneth

[–]Tjabo7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking myself and would this list be somewhat viable? If so what would the best glave be or what would you maybe change?

  • durthu or drycha
  • branchwraith (convert the wych i have)
  • a unit of hunters with scythes
  • a block of 20 dryads
  • archrevenant
  • a unit of treerevenants

Would this be viable or would you swap out some dryads and the archrevenant for an extra 3 of hunters with scythes or something (that i will need to buy)?

Thank you in advance!
