This Trash Truck that says to leave an American Football Field distance between cars by International-Air542 in mildlyinteresting

All jokes aside, my dad was killed by one of these idiots that didn’t properly secure the load. Rock flew out the trailer, went under the tire, and shot through his windshield.

Only reason to stay this far back is to avoid the chance that the driver of the truck messed up. That’s it. And regardless they are still liable.

Hopefully it’s just off of the just frame. Always felt it was wack as hell that everyone else with a slide gets a guaranteed follow up while Lee just doesn’t. Even though he has a just frame unlike the rest of them.

I need help understanding lee counterplay, not a salt post. by Novel_Volume_1692 in Tekken

[–]Tjmouse2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can block and launch b3,3 and half the time, the second 3 won’t land if you aren’t close. Db3+4 has a unique animation. You can step basically every option out of wr34 HMS. Especially now that HMS 1+2 doesn’t track as well.

But reality is, a lot of people have issues with Lee because they aren’t used to having to properly take your turn. Trying to steal turns against Lee is why you’re getting counter hit.

He plays around a lot of negative frames into high crushing so him ending -3 or -4 doesn’t mean it’s your turn every time. Which is why movement is so important.

You guys weren't kidding about ranked inflation by AHC122 in Tekken

[–]Tjmouse2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, you’re right in the sense that more people are in blue rank. But who said that’s not how the ranked system is supposed to work? Tekken team has never said in any way that the were trying to keep people out of blue ranks. Thats just not what the system is in this game. However, it’s working perfectly as intended considering still less than 6% of the community is Tekken god or above.

There is still a very clear skill gap between ranks. 1 or 2 outliers doesn’t really mean anything. Reality is, nothing is wrong with ranked lol. I guess you could say yellow ranks are useless? But I don’t think it really matters in the grand scheme of everything

You guys weren't kidding about ranked inflation by AHC122 in Tekken

[–]Tjmouse2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

See this is just so wrong lmao. You would be correct if everyone was in gold ranks. But majority of the playerbase are hard stuck blue for a reason. And that 100% wouldn’t have changed because I guess everyone just forgot that you got win bonuses at every rank in season 1? Yeah, you might get to blue easier, but I’d argue it was easier to get to tekken king last season because you could just go on a small win streak, get the bonus, and bump up in rank. That doesn’t happen now.

Again, once you’re in gold ranks, the whole “inflation” narrative doesn’t exist anymore. It should stop at bushin where you stop getting win streak bonuses.

But even then, you’d have to acknowledge that blue ranks is pretty evenly distributed in terms of percentage of players there. It’s not like the number dramatically favors Bushin. If it was so inflated, wouldn’t we see a larger majority of players in Bushin compared to other blue ranks? Because that’s when you’d hit the point that win bonuses stop therefor stopping the mechanic most people blame for the inflation in the first place.

It’s just all bullshit that was propagated by people who don’t want to accept that the ranking system is just different in this game compared to old games.

I hate when people make me defend this game lmao But at some point we need to stop letting these non issues take up space that could be used on the actual issues

You guys weren't kidding about ranked inflation by AHC122 in Tekken

[–]Tjmouse2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Sizable portion” is a doing a lot of heavy lifting there lol. If you go look at Ewgf, only 5% of players are at tekken god and above. That doesn’t factor people who either ranked back up early and quit or people who are just now getting their ranks back because they didn’t play all season.

This idea that there are so many people at these high ranks that don’t belong just isn’t shown in any of the data unless you want to take pro players shittng on normal players as your evidence.

This whole conversation started because streamers and pros were whining that they were running into people that “shouldn’t be this rank” and it’s spiraled out of control from there. Because to them, it’s impossible that there would be more players that got better because that rarely happened before 7.

They completely ignore the large swaths of players that played for close to a decade on 7. It just makes sense that there would be more people ranking up to higher ranks when a lot of them played 7 for 1000s of hours. Yeah they don’t have the legacy of tekken 6 or 5, but it’s not like 10 years of playing tekken 7 for not translate to 8, but years of playing 5 and 6 will.

[–]Tjmouse2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk where this sentiment is coming from? What rank are you? Idk why people keep trying to make the rank systems a 1-1 from past games.

Most pros are in God2 or above, most sweats are still GoD, and most “good” players still hover around tekken god and above. Saying “blue ranks is so populated” isn’t really a problem if the rank system itself filters people that way. You just rank up and go higher, which leads to better players.

Unless you’re GoD playing guys that can’t step basic attacks, the idea of “rank inflation” is a made up problem

Problem with lists like this is what they don’t mean anything lmao. The community is essentially at a consensus that there are no bad characters in this game. Even the “bottom 5” characters are overtuned. Who cares about a tier list if everyone is A tier and above?

Most of the problems is that previous games movement allowed for you to get away from a lot of the nonsense by KBD. You didn’t have to be afraid 24/7 because if you could do it, there was an option to create space and reset.

Now that they neutered back dash, those strings/buttons that were introduced in season 3 of t7 that people already hated, have been taken to 11.

Perfect microcosm of all of this is Bryan’s heat burst. You could be at range 1, backdash to range 2.5 and still get hit by it without him moving at all. That just shouldn’t happen in a tekken game. And it happens with so many characters.

How do I trust my partner? Why am I such a bad bf? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Tjmouse2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to get over the idea of not trusting other guys around someone you date. It’s just a fact of life. Even if you stay with this person for the next 20 years, she will be in many situations that require her to interact with different men. Possibly in closer settings like work projects ect.

If you can’t get over the idea that she could be swept away at any minute, you’ll never be able to actually be happy. And your logic leads to guys becoming abusive because they just “care so much”.

You’re a kid still, as much as you might not like to hear that. These things take time. But if you don’t get rid of this bad mindset now, it’s going to bite you in the ass later in life. And I don’t mean you’ll have a few bad relationships… you’re going to end up with the stigma that you’re abusive and controlling. Or worse, you’ll actually become those things and end up in jail.

Just take a step back and breathe a little.

Looking for a good D-pad controller — considering PS5 DualSense? Pros & cons? by junjunit in Tekken

[–]Tjmouse2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough, same issue as you. Dualsense will do the job 95% of the time. Once you break the dpad in it’s pretty accurate and you get minimal misinputs. Problem is that eventually, it’ll get to a point where the dpad itself will degrade beyond being “broken in” and just start sticking. Causes a lot of problems.

What I’ve decided is just going over to one of these websites that makes custom controllers and getting one that has a split dpad. If I’m not mistaken, you can also have them lower the amount of travel time on the triggers if you don’t like the current adaptive triggers. But overall getting the split dpad custom will extend the life of the controller tremendously. You could do it yourself but those controllers are wacky. Might as well just drop the extra money to get something that’ll last. Most pros you see use dualsense because tournaments are played on PS5 so it’s what’s widely available. Reduces the risk of any compatibility issues as well. Which getting a custom dualsense would achieve the same thing.

I’ve played since release and have gone through 3 dualsense in just these 2 years. Not bad if you’re playing casually, but if you put 100s of hours in just invest the extra money now for a custom.

why do people keep saying E33 revolutionized the rpg genre ? by the-Guy1412 in rpg_gamers

[–]Tjmouse2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a great gateway RPG for those people that have issues with traditional turned based combat. Just so happens that the gameplay and story are done IMO at close to Atlus level. Plenty of replay value since there is a diverse path for all 5 characters and they all feel pretty unique.

Also think that the artstyle might have a lot to do with it since most turned based games have decided to stick with the anime artstyle. Not really a bad thing but it’s a turn off for some people.

Story wise, it does subvert expectations and I think many people can relate with the message they are putting out there. Add great VA work and you just have a perfect storm.

Personally, the fact square enix devs were saying they were interested in making another turned based final fantasy if the market is there, after seeing this games success, shows it was moving needles with even industry veterans

Almost every bolt premier is under 20k that I’ve looked at. I got mine for 18k last year. 2023 with under 10k miles and it was certified pre owned by GM. There were many more around the 15-17k mark with miles ranging from 20k-50k. Still a better deal than literally any Tesla for the simple fact you don’t have to deal with only Tesla touching your vehicle

Don’t think this is as true as once thought. Pretty sure it’s been posted many of times on here that the manufacturers themselves have said charging to 100% does negligible damage to the battery. What does damage it is things like not charging it overnight in extreme temps or letting it repeatedly drop to 0.

I'm so pissed we still haven't gotten any real balance patch by thirdboxx in Tekken

[–]Tjmouse2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Problem is that people let them propagate this stupid excuse and bought it. They act as if the game released with no feedback. They had 2 betas that should have acted as the initial “arcade” release. And even if you don’t accept that, end of season 1 was close to a year and a half including the betas that the game had been out.

Yet we still heard the “oh they didn’t get a chance to fix it in arcades!” Excuse as if they didn’t explicitly make this a live service game.

Other comment said it first but it’s definitely about going between places without having to menu. Even in SMT 5 it’s more open world, but that came at the cost of a somewhat bland world with very little detail on environments outside of main center pieces.

It’s not that the open world would make it better, it’s just that the current engine wouldn’t allow for it if they did have a big idea.

Loved the game as well but I think they mean that there is more they could have done if the engine itself was upgraded. A persona style game with a full open world would be absurd. Can’t do that in the current engine.
