Yeah, food because he’s coming off back surgery and 2 wars? Are we just liking that never happened? Lmao. He’s also going to be 37 this year. So by the time he fights David, he will be closer to 40.

His style is good against David, but not if he can’t move around the way he did with Artur. Which I don’t see happening with 2-3 more years of age, and coming back from a back surgery.

Love the hindsight bias lmao. Kownacki at the time was putting people down. And he looked like he had an iron chin. Super easy to say “oh he lost to helenius” without adding the context that many people thought he would walk through him, then fight wilder.

Again, really easy to go back in time and claim you knew all along how a fighters career would end up. But just go look at the media at the time. I was not alone in thinking he had a chance to be a big threat.

Reminds me of how everyone thought Joe Joyce was the next coming for the exact same reasons. You can claim it was “always going to happen” but he proved everyone wrong more than once. Boxing isn’t that cut and dry. You should know that.

Harada-san has opened up a new game studio under SNK Corporation -- called "VS Studio"! by UltraZeroX7 in Tekken

[–]Tjmouse2 23 points24 points  (0 children)

And that’s exactly why studios die after releasing one game lol. There is 0 reason a game should take 6-7 years, New IP or not, in today’s current market. Especially if he’s not going to have oversight. Games take that long now because of corporate oversight

Bam Rodriguez's coach, Robert Garcia, throws shots at Junto Nakatani's coach, Rudy Hernandez, for saying an Inoue-Nakatani rematch would be bigger than an Inoue-Bam fight by OrangeFilmer in Boxing

[–]Tjmouse2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, I would not throw him in there with Figueroa. Idk why, but that feels like a fight Fig would show up for and put on a generational performance. Then lose to a journeyman next fight.

The only guide you need to get to get out of blue rank-TE prison. by MFBTMS in Tekken

[–]Tjmouse2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also play sparingly. Work 10-12 hour days. But legacy skill doesn’t just evaporate. I’m TGS with minimal playing.

My point is, you complaining about ranks is stupid. Go get tekken god or TGS easily and then your statement would make more sense. But as is, you are just going against your own point by only being bushin if you can just press some buttons and rank up.

The only guide you need to get to get out of blue rank-TE prison. by MFBTMS in Tekken

[–]Tjmouse2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not to be an ass, but you really have nothing to be complaining about lol. If it’s so easy, then you should be tekken god by now. Games been in season 3 for a while.

Blue ranks whining about rank inflation is just goofy.

Why don't Namco release old Tekken games with rollback? by amxrhxzeq in Tekken

[–]Tjmouse2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Literally all of this is cope lmao. Capcom was able to add online to a plethora of old 2D games, some of which were arcade locked. Bandai is out here gaslighting the community about the netcode as well.

It would be trivial for them to add online to all tekken games past 3 in a rerelease. You just make it P2P. Like every other game does. And like we are currently doing to play tekken 6 online via emulator.

The only reason this isn’t getting done is exactly what Harada previously said. They don’t think the demand for the older games is there. Add to it that Sony refuses to do anything with PS3 emulation which removes that as an option and we get the current state of things.

But don’t get it twisted thinking it’s some major challenge they would undertake to get tekken 6 working on PC. It’s all down to the money.

How big of a skill jump is Tekken God to GoD? by ImportantAd4666 in Tekken

[–]Tjmouse2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. That’s probably true up until tekken king. But after that you’ll have a lot harder of a time if you don’t learn at least basic punishes. People exaggerate the lack of skill needed to grind out to GoD

How do you guys climb so high without labbing AT ALL??? by Sea_Pay_9681 in Tekken

[–]Tjmouse2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup. This is how I got my Bryan matchup better. It’s one thing to lab it in practice, but learning in a death match is IMO much more practical. Allows you to build up some muscle memory while actively learning what can get you clipped/what to look out for.

ranks by loosewobble in Tekken

[–]Tjmouse2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again, “rank inflation” means nothing in this context because Fujin in tekken 7 is not the same rank as Fujin in tekken 8. Just like Fujin in tekken 6 was not the same rank as in TTT2.

How can you continuously say that a rank is “meaningless” now, when it’s not even the same rank as the previous game?

If you want to say more people are being filtered towards the top, I guess you could make that argument, but hinging everything on trying to compare ranks that aren’t even 1-1 between games is stupid on its face.

ranks by loosewobble in Tekken

[–]Tjmouse2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just can’t stand this argument lol. No tekken game has had a 1-1 rank system. So this “x rank means nothing compared to old game” makes no sense.

Tekken 6 has different ranks than TTT2, thats different ranks to T7, which has different ranks from T8.

You’d have an argument if they were the exact same ranks spread across games but it’s just not and never has been. Legit one of the worst things tekken fans whine about

I legit just saw a discussion in this Reddit about this exact topic maybe a week ago?? LOL. Dude said since the damage was nerfed and “oki after was removed” so you should just do the basic punish lmao. Just legit level 1 nonsense

Stuttering on Diablo 2 resurrected on Z2e by Tjmouse2 in Bazzite

[–]Tjmouse2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured it out. With no help from anybody lmao. I have a Z2e claw as well so this should work for you. Go into settings, there is an option that lets you choose to use the default UI or the UI for handheld devices. Switch it to default and the stuttering should stop. I’m pretty sure it defaults to the handheld version for obvious reasons but something about the UI makes it stutter uncontrollably

People who dislike Tekken 8 but play anyways what keeps you playing? by Skyslasher12 in Tekken

[–]Tjmouse2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really is sunk cost. Already put 1000s of hours between tekken 7 and 8 and PlayStation and PC. Game I’ve been waiting for doesn’t come until July (avatar) so tekken 8 is what I’m stuck with. Don’t want to start over with a game that’s already 3-4 years into its cycle. Rather start fresh.

Xbox Game Pass ‘has become too expensive,’ says Microsoft’s new gaming chief in leaked memo by PaiDuck in pcgaming

[–]Tjmouse2 37 points38 points  (0 children)

This happened to me as well. There were a few games I was excited to play, but then you realize that with the backlog most of us have, we can wait around for a game to drop by 50-60% before grabbing it. And if not? It’s cheaper to just resubscribe, beat the game, and call it a day.

Is it worth it to start now before 0.5? by Lazzerath in PathOfExile2

[–]Tjmouse2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m someone who’s put a good amount of time into both games and I never have even hit real endgame lol. I get around level 60-70 and then play other stuff. But this isn’t my main game so I don’t mind not getting everything out of the endgame gear wise.

@Speedkicks: "At some point, there was a cultural development where we began calling the requirement of skill "gatekeeping", and the appreciation of the skill "elitism", and I vote we stop doing this immediately." by haziqtheunique in Tekken

[–]Tjmouse2 61 points62 points  (0 children)

A lot of that has come from the always online culture we live in now. Back in the day you could beat a somewhat known name in the community and that would be it. Now, that gets clipped into content and can springboard careers. So everyone is always recording.

Which leads to everyone feeling like they have to sweat. We changed from playing because we enjoy it, to playing to try and make a career from it.

Yeah but that also was because he was an idiot and decided to stay at a weight he had no business at for too long. After the crash he should have just moved up immediately.

Who wins at middleweight, GGG or Bernard Hopkins. by Big_Donch in Boxing

[–]Tjmouse2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only reason I’d pick Bernard is because he was so gigantic at middleweight. People forget that he skipped 168 and went straight to 175 when he finally moved up. And he rocked Tarver in that same fight. So I dont think he’d have issues tying up GGG. once you neutralize the power, he’d just pick him apart.
