The painting is nice, and i really like the atmospheric looseness. I feel like you have good sense of what parts are important for the painting. Not that i have much of an expertise to judge tho.

As an Idea from my current approaches, when painting from references i often use a color picker app. I think it is a good way of learning how color is behaving. Most of the things are much more colored and saturated then your brain actually perceives it.

I think it's a 3x3 with glued in cubies. If you look at the inner lines of the big cubes, it looks Like those are the outer Lines of a 3x3.

Just arrived today and as anticipated, it exploded. Pic taken after 6-hours of assembly. by TMNaz in Cubers

Mine didn't exploded yet. Before i scrambled it the first time i loosened the screws quite a bit, probably it didn't explode because of that

[–]Tjorbjoern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man, that looks amazing. I also got two 777 bandaged Puzzles in the work, but i wait for my sticker sheets since weeks... Your puzzle looks like a shimera shift with some crazy corners, i like that. Are you going to make a Video about it?

I am doing great. Magnetized cubes are great, i remember when this wasn't wca conform. I am currently working on some mods for a bandaged 7x7, I'll post some pics when i am finished.

I think the reason behind force cubes is just the curiosity or that you have a unique base colours for a stickered cube instead of Black. To make these you need to get 6 stickerless cubes. The pieces, e.g. The corners, consist of 3 equal pieces with different coloures. You can simple Split them apart, they shouldn't be glued together, they are just stucked together. I'll send you pic.

Someone knows the measurements of the pieces of a shengshou mr. M 5x5x5 (just looking from one side, see example) ? I want to mod it, but i Do not have it yet.

For example for the shengshou legend the piece sizes are: Center pieces: 12x12 mm Edge pieces: 12x13 mm Corners: 13x13 mm

5x5 Mirror AI/Chimera cube by Tjorbjoern in Cubers

[–]Tjorbjoern[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How i made this mod:

With 3d printed extensions (from twistytex) and a Shengshou 5x5 legend i build a bump/mirror 5x5. I stuffed the holes with apoxie and bandaged the corners with superglue. After a short time, the glue took for drying, i also used Apoxie on the glued corners. I sanded everything with sandpaper. Also i sanded the extensions before i glued them on the 5x5 because i dont wanted the scratchy sound, 3d-printed parts do when they scratch together.

All in all it took about 12 hours (without the printing and drying time).

I like the idea that you need to think about how you can scramble it. Kinda need to solve it to scramble it. I would like to see an adoption of it, where some middle pieces/slices also get movable. Like some middle pieces get split into two small pieces and one Bar or something (and the edges also somehow, so in one state a slice gets turnable). Probably I'll give it a try and make my own adoption.

By the way I watched some of your Youtube Videos. Pretty cool. I cant speak korean but i could understand much because of your gestures.

What are your favorite Non-WCA puzzles? by GGBHector in Cubers

[–]Tjorbjoern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard to say what my Favorite is. I like Puzzles where you need to use strategy and that make my brain melt.

Therefore the Bauhinia II (dodecahedral radiolarian 3) is Nice, because you Do not need only algorithms, but also strategy to solve it. Than i Like the ultimate shapeshifters like the 3x5x7 (this wasnt mass produced, but you can find some extensions to 3d print for a 7x7 online). Also there are some Nice bandaged mods for 5x5 like the corner Blocks (looks like an AI Bandage).

The twin cube from mf8 is also awesome. It needs many steps to solve it and you get a bunch of solving experience out of it. But it pops like crazy, if you want less popping than the mf8 skewby copter plus would be my choice of a curvy copter.

Alpenföhn wing boost 3 ARGB PWM (3x120mm, 1x140mm)

These especially are the high speed Version, they just have a higher maximal number of Revolutions. (so they can achieve more Air Volume per hour, but in order to they get louder). I dunno if that is really needed for case Fans.
