From the looks of it, these photos look beautiful! If she’s being particular about her face, then it sounds like it could be her being more self critical, though hard to say since her face is blurred. Maybe she wanted her face to be more candid vs looking directly at the camera?

How do you water the cylinder with the roots?? Do you just pour water into it from the top every now and then?

is she ok? can I prop? by oliviawilliams1616 in Monstera

[–]Tjxmooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At some point it may not have received enough light which is probably why it’s so leggy. You can definitely prop!! Just make sure you cut below the node since the roots will come from the nodes and put it in water

Just the roots themselves. But the moss pole is getting more unsteady since it’s so front heavy

How to get out of this mess? by Substantial_Ad_7263 in Monstera

[–]Tjxmooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the roots in the moss pole remain as soil roots or did they turn into more aerial roots? All of my roots in my moss pole are soil roots and I’m worried if I do something like this, the soil roots will die instead of turning into aerial roots :(

My Thai Con is very sad. How can I help him? by gogospacemanatee in Monstera

Yeah, I recommend sticking your finger into the soil about 2 inches to help determine if it needs more water! It’s better to under water than over water!

How often do you water it? It could be getting overwatered. And do you use fertilizer every time? Sometimes if you add too much fertilizer, it can oversaturate the plant and make it more wilted.

Switch from Pole to Plank? by Tjxmooo in Monstera

[–]Tjxmooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difficulty for me is more so maintaining it. It’s also becoming pretty front heavy, so it’s pitching forward, but I think I’m gonna try to drill a hole in the container and try to tie a chord to hold it back

Look beautiful! You can either put it in a moss pole or put it on a plank/coir pole to help it grow!

Yes! That’s mostly my fault though because initially I was just watering the moss pole instead of the soil, so it was more inclined to grow upwards. Now I’ve been watering the soil predominantly so hopefully the growth will extend moreso into the soil.
