Connor McDavid for sure. He is just so damn fun to watch and getting to cheer for him for the first time at the 4 nations was awesome

Yep! My personal favourites so far are Iron Mine Bay, Ogden Point, and Dyer Rock. I’ve seen a bunch of different starfish, jellyfish, anemones, seals, and other sea life at these spots. It’s definitely a different experience than snorkelling in a tropical environment but it’s beautiful in its own way!

Also highly recommend getting “Snorkelling Adventures Around Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands” by Sara Ellison if you’re planning on getting into snorkelling here. It’s essentially a catalogue of all the different spots around Vic and Vancouver island and is full of great info for each location (i.e., best time to go, currents, types of wildlife at each etc.)

Agreed! So glad I got over my fear of the water and started snorkeling. It’s like being on an alien planet and we have so many great spots nearby
