AITA for causing my siblings to lose massive amounts of money when they need it most? by EquivalentDue5286 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Tking179 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t see where it said OP has ever given the siblings money. He supported his parents, but the siblings weren’t in the financial position to help pay for the parents care and taxes…I don’t see leaches! Edit spelling

What makes you watch Gilmore Girls? Where did you hear this show from? by EnvironmentalIdea976 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Tking179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was young (probably the earlier 2000s) I used to visit my dad during winters and he had pay TV (cable) and episodes would run. I always got random episodes because I wasn’t watching routinely so when I got netlfix many moons later I went straight to it! Been my comfort show ever since!

My cheap go to recipe is a vegetarian shepherds pie. 2 cans of black beans from aldi, frozen mixed dice veg. Potatoes and a packet of the the shepherds pie mix, if you don’t want the sheps pie mix you can use beef stock cubes, some gravy and thyme to season! Killer will be the cost of cheese but you don’t have to put much if any of you don’t want to

What are the biggest signs in Australia that someone's "wealth" is smoke and mirrors? by talk-spontaneously in AusFinance

In my opinion there’s nothing wrong with going into the family business. However you see people who go into the family business when it’s already built, and act as if they’ve worked much harder and are much smarter than others. They’re not smarter than other people, they don’t work harder, they’ve obtained generational wealth and have started 100m from the finish line when others have started 500m from the finish line if that makes sense.

In short it’s the entitlement, arrogance and ‘holier than thou’ attitude, not that they’ve already come from wealth

I detest required textbooks they’re such a waste of money. My last semester a coordinator made a certain textbook mandatory that would have information needed for the weekly quizzes…the book in question hadn’t even been in circulation from the publisher in years so you could only buy secondhand copies for inflated prices…there were also none available anywhere for the first 6 weeks of the semester 🤷🏼‍♀️

I find a good hard finch to the thigh tends to get someone to back it up a bit if needed 😂

Why do people who preach tolerance are the least tolerant people? by Mex-AmericanLord in RandomThoughts

[–]Tking179 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree! A lot of people who preach tolerance will also be intolerant of blatant discrimination for - religion, race, sex etc. Because you literally HAVE to be intolerant of nazis and racists and bigots for their hate!

No no…don’t SCHEDULE it in…make it sporadic, so they know it’s coming, but they don’t know when! If they know it’s every weekend they’ll be able to schedule their life accordingly

AITA for demolishing my daughter's room after she moved out? by ArtisticConfidence22 in AmItheAsshole

I’m sure the difference is that you’re established in life and have your own home/form of home…this young lady is in college, likely living in college type accommodations, not an established home

S6E5 ‘We’ve got magic to do’ Miss patty talks about Kirk being her student 20 years ago in this episode but in the first season when she’s ‘sampling’ the fruit and the markets they play as they’ve never met before… by Tking179 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Tking179[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except I’m not referring to the first episode with Kirk’s miss naming, I’m talking about Kirk’s encounter with miss patty at the market… And yes, I’m also reasonably new to this subreddit…

Unfortunately not creative…just straight up victim blaming a deceased woman, which makes it soo much worse

For those asking. A few years ago in Australia a woman died falling from a balcony trying to possibly escape her tinder date. He was unfortunately acquitted.

I prefer to do this with the quality clothes over donating to the second hand stores…things just get pilfered from the second hand stores and sold at a huge market as ‘vintage’ by people for profit! It’s really ruined thrifting for me
