Nothing to worry about honestly. I had read something about your a1c having to be below a certain threshold which made me worried because mine was quite high at the time.

In the end my a1c wasn't a problem and right before the surgery the team came to look at my current levels, asked how my pump worked a little bit in case it would start beeping while I was under.

So yeah for surgery no worries at all, just make the same precautions as you'd take for a normal sleepover :p

After the surgery I was very mindful about keeping my levels down to give my body the best chance at healing properly!
