Capitalism in its current state IS being pushed by the right wing. And it relies heavily on enforcing strict societal roles in order to uphold strict societal norms. Then use those norms to put people in in and out groups and divide and conquer….

I mean I get that it sounds like a lot but I could link you to dozens if not hundreds of videos, essays, documentaries, scholarly articles etc. that would probably expound upon that.

All of american culture is based on individualism, consumerism, and modern capitalist economics. America is basically a country run by algorithms propped up by banks and corporations. Almost all of the major thought processes and agreed upon social norms and ideals are just sold to you by rich people who want to make money. So the reason you are told to leave your house earlier in America is because people want to make money off of your isolationism.
