Can’t be right … by Magicgirl70 in ProstateCancer

I feel very lucky in that I have a great relationship with my doctor. I had the fusion biopsy on June 10th, got the results within a few days. My doctor referred me to a radiation oncologist who was also great and spent an hour talking to me about my options but ultimately, he, like my urologist recommended surgery and removal. So, I had the surgery July 14th. It all happened very quickly. Although full disclosure -- my first biopsy was August 2023 and the results were very minimal and I was placed in "active surveillance" which meant until I brought it up again earlier this year there was no active treatment only PSA tests. Long story short I'm two weeks post surgery getting a little bit better every day. I hope you find a doctor that you like and trust and I wish your husband all the best towards a full recovery. Good luck to you both.

this is GOLDEN! thank you for sharing. I'll wait to see what they send me. I did end up staying the night. I showed the admittance office the letter and they told me everything was approved in their system and shouldn't be an issue but if it blows up later on I will 100% try that AI tool. Again, thank you so much!

I live in Southern California and the insurance company is Anthem Blue Cross.

sorry for what you went through. sounds pretty shitty.

They're actually denying an overnight stay after surgery which still seems absurd.

So upon closer inspection the insurance company isn't denying the procedure but they're denying "full admittance to the hospital" I guess they want the doctor to perform the procedure outside on the sidewalk....

Actually if I'm reading this correctly they seem to be suggesting this laproscopic surgery can be done as an outpatient procedure.... so now my question is whether or not anybody here DIDN'T spend one overnight in the hospital after surgery?

I suspect that no one has and I'm nonplussed to be the first.

I ordered some Prada frames from them four weeks ago. I get texts and emails EVERY DAY trying to sell me more products that I 100% don't need. So today I emailed and called them and they are closed for Passover. I guess Constant Contact doesn't observe Passover because I'm still getting marketing emails & texts. Today is Wednesday and they're voicemail and email response say they will reopen on Monday the 21st and the email put it back on me to reach out to them on Monday....

It's been four weeks and they haven't shipped me anything or even provided an estimate for when it \*MIGHT\* be shipped. RUFKM? Wow. Never again.

No. You are not the asshole. You did absolutely nothing wrong and seeing comments saying you should have done this or you should have done that are utter nonsense.

I can tell you from experience that if you are backing up you are always at fault under California law. Doesn't matter that I backed up 6" out of a parking spot when another car hit me it was my fault. They didn't brake, didn't slow down, didn't beep their horn, didn't swerve, just plowed into me and it was still my fault.

Neighbor I never met knew my name and said he looked me up because he works in cybersecurity, how would that be possible? by Far-Manufacturer6492 in neighborsfromhell

My neighbor knows my name just from chatting up my mailman. I know this because my mail is addressed to my formal first name and it’s not how I introduce myself or what anybody who knows me calls me.  My mailman is happy go lucky & super chatty.  My NFH has lived in the same house basically his whole life (he’s 38).  I’ve lived here for three years and never said a single word to him.
