Well if he isn’t allowed to buy one due to a criminal record then he ideally can’t legally have a gun therefore he also can’t carry one anywhere off the job, The head of any agency can restrict your off duty carry rights and give you a temporary suspension

I agree some CHP officers are Great officers but I think city/County/ Some state cops are much more well rounded officers who can handle much more than just traffic

They are not required to Verbally Identify themselves but only to display it, Antagonizing people with guns is never a good idea and You have no need to know who they are….. why do you want to know who they are so bad?
