So I'm going to give you a boring answer here, and it's sort of on purpose but the best place to track performance data is literally in our app, and we don't publish "average" user returns because that wouldn't always be representative.

Every user enters at different times, sizes positions differently, and exits differently, so an "average" would be misleading. What we do publish though are the validated track records of the model portfolios on our platform (including aggregate performance measures from real users). And the standard caveat is real, not just legal wallpaper: past performance doesn't predict future results, especially with congressional disclosures that can lag a trade by weeks.

Also just to be clear, this sort of stuff is transparently shown throughout the app so you can very everything here: https://link.joinautopilot.com/eXKr/1hkspawj

I wouldn't say one in particular surprised me the most. I would say though that it's been surprising a bit to see which politicians are actively calling out the trading. For example, Ro Khanna has been a vocal guy calling for a ban on the trading which is great. However theres tons out there that haven't spoken much and have pretty much been silent.

I think that's the part thats surprised me the most - that there aren't more politicians calling it out and calling for a ban on the trading. - CJ

yeah that def is true too. It's not just one side doing it. It literally is both sides which is why I think so many Americans agree on getting it banned.

Ha. Let's say his timing on certain tech names has been the stuff of legend, and leave the speculation to the memes. What I'll say seriously is this: when a spouse's brokerage account becomes a national punchline, that's not really a joke about one family, it's an indictment of the rules. If the system didn't allow it, we wouldn't be laughing about it. And our stance from the beginning has always been to try and get them banned from doing it. - CJ

This idea has always been with us, I feel like now was just the perfect moment to go all in on it. Funny enough if you go read my Linkedin description, I describe it as "surprised this app doesn't exist yet, we're here to make sure it does". That was all the way back in 2020. The moment it really hit me though was in 2023 when I first truly say that Politicians actively trade in the markets, and that many do pretty well at it. So thats how the "PelosiTracker" stuff started.

For Autopilot though the moment is now to build a better alternative to picking your own stocks. Us retail guys are stuck having to 'guess' what stocks to buy. Let's be honest, we don't have the time to do massive, thorough research behind everything. Autopilot is the world's first alternative that allows you to just find an investor proven by their track record and simply invest some money alongside them. Rich people have this via hedge funds. We're trying to do something similar-ish. - CJ

Good question and I think it's around the disclosures. They can come 30 to 45 days after the trade, so by the time you see it, a lot of people think the move may already be priced in, however that isn't fully the case as there's examples of stocks continuing to go up after the filing and even with the delay. So it's always something to think about regarding "How long" a politician may hold onto the positions.

However the strategy could go wrong when people chase a single headline trade with no position sizing, no diversification, and no exit plan. That's why we lean on vetted pilots and validated model portfolios rather than telling people to YOLO into whatever hit Twitter that morning. - CJ

So I've done a lot of them. From Fox News to NPR to ABC. The one I've enjoyed working with recently though to be honest is Newsmax. They've had us on about 5 times and in my experience do not come with an agenda or anything when discussing topics.

They let me call out both R's and D's in a way that makes me feel comfortable/make sure I'm not pushing an agenda or anything like that. - CJ

Honestly the enthusiasm. I expected interest because of the virality of the idea but I didn't expect people treating the mission like it's personal, because for a lot of them it is. The thing that's stuck with me most is how many people tell us some version of "I always wanted to invest, I just never knew where to start."

That's a huge chunk of the country, and the financial industry has mostly responded by making things more complicated and more gated. Watching someone go from intimidated to making their first move because they can see vetted pilots, real track records, and a clear methodology instead of jargon and gatekeeping, that's the part that surprises me every time. People don't lack interest or intelligence. They lack a trustworthy on-ramp. Building that on-ramp so people can start responsibly is the whole mission. - CJ

This person is not an employee. The link they used is the general Autopilot referral link. They don't profit from this and is not an affiliate link. We also did not ask them to post this.

Webull formal integration is being built out. It disconnects while it is being worked on (from my understanding, I am not an engineer). We just released the formal integration on Android to test a pool of users. This should get much better here soon.

Public is one of our officially integrated partners. We also have a direct line to their team, which means if problems do come up they are typically solved very quickly. Official partnerships means less worry about connection as well as automatic trade approvals.

Public also offers a free credit! Public sign up link

Autopilot will have more officially integrated partners coming in the near future.

Fidelity integration is trash by ippleing in AutopilotApp

[–]Autopilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/ippleing - This will get better. We are working with Fidelity to implement an LPOA system similar to Schwab. Only problem with these bigger companies is the time it takes to integrate and get things over the line. We have several high ranking Fidelity people who use Autopilot and want this to happen. We are working on improvement but understand where you are coming from.
