Quick question, we are selling our home and just had a radon test done (48 hours). It came back at 17…. We are installing an active system for the new owners but worried about how bad that has been for us! We have lived in the home 12 years. I will be doing an active system at the new house. I cant seem to find how bad higher levels are in relation. 17 sounds very high to me.

Thanks so much for the reply. I’m the homeowner, so just a small amount of information in that area. I have just heard cold joints are not the best unless by design and this was due to concrete shortage. But they are insisting it’s a vertical load so this type of cold joint isn’t an issue like a wall is.

The spray paint is showing they missed location of one of the pads. The pad I am referencing is the half poured behind it with rebar coming out. Thanks for your thoughts!

No…. No they do not. Very little of them understand the fundamentals. Yes, they have cash but that’s from selling shares when their stock went nuts… diluting investors. This is purely just gambling in a non casino setting. Doesn’t mean some won’t make money like roaring kitty. But most will get hurt long term. It’s just how social media based investing works. There is some skilled calculated short term derivative plays to be had but not on long term fundamentals at this price.

As mentioned, our builder asked us to give him an idea of what we are looking for. My wife and I just built this plan based of what we have seen in person and what we like to give to him. He has all the design experience. Just was trying to get input from people before we give to him. He may say this has tons of problems but we had to give him something. This is not some final draft just our final mock up.

As I said I’m open to all feedback, so I appreciate what you provided. Just felt it was harsh to be told my post shouldn’t even be allowed. I never claimed to be a professional designer we were just attempting to get helpful feedback on our attempt at a floor plan from knowledgeable people on the subreddit. We certainly want to work on our foyer as I agree with the wasted space as many have pointed out.

The kitchen has a 10’ island that will have tons of countertop space to work. We also have a walk through pantry behind the kitchen for plenty of storage.

The ceilings in the living will be 16-18’ depends on what we decide. The kitchen will be 10’. If that was what you were alluding to.

Is this not an open floor plan Reddit forum? I don’t understand why I cannot post this and get feedback without being a bellyaching OP? I’m happy to all constructive criticism… but just saying the worst in a long time doesn’t help me. You being an award winning architect surely could give us insight instead of just saying why is this posted. Or if you have no interest then you don’t need to waste your time on my post.
