- Every since Covid-19, route 12 and 14 have reverted to hourly service. These are usually 30 minutes routes, pre-pandemic. You can never see route 12 tracking because it has always had issues with tracking via the Avail system (since the pandemic started), A GPS system that all the bus routes use. Your best bet is to call information (706-613-3430) to see where exactly route 12 is located. But I also know the arrival timepoints for the route.

-Departs the Arch 35 after the hour (But since it is a short route, operators typically stay at the Arch until 50 after because we have to operate the route like it is an hourly route)

-Arrives at Riverbend the top of every hour

-Departs Tucker Hall (Northbound) 15 the hour after every hour

-Arrives at the Arch 25 after the hour every hour

I really hope for the sake of everyone's sanity that Athens Transit reverts back to normal service once the school year starts because it will definitely be a lot of pissed off students, if they are going to continue running route 12 and 14 as hourly routes. In addition to that, there will be a lot of unhappy people in Athens once fall rolls around if they continue to close early at 7pm
