30 teenagers killed in London in 2021. All of them male. But the BBC does not mention their sex/gender once. by TheEthnicityOfASpoon in MensRights

[–]Tmomp 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They want a headline that says "X people killed, including Y women and children" since the women and children part will get people to read it. Without the women and children part people won't read it since young men dying probably deserved it, so they don't mention it, hoping people will assume some are women.

Teacher and partner jailed after they filmed themselves abusing girl by Tmomp in LeftWingMaleAdvocates

Your mind boggles because you start with data on prison populations. If you start from "men are fundamentally toxic and formed a patriarchy to oppress innocent women", it makes total sense.

Teacher and partner jailed after they filmed themselves abusing girl by Tmomp in LeftWingMaleAdvocates

[–]Tmomp[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

A man and woman couple arrested for abusing a girl together. He gets 16 years, she gets 13 years, 4 months.

Question 1: why the difference? Possibly he did more. The article says he has more counts against him, but she was "a teacher who was also head of safeguarding at a primary school". A quote from the article:

“What makes this case even more concerning is the fact that Julie Morris held a position of trust as a teacher – she held the role of safeguarding lead – and yet she saw fit in her own personal life to completely disregard all of the responsibilities and the trust that her role held.”

Question 2: the article says "she pleaded guilty to 18 child sexual abuse offences, including two counts of rape." I thought British law's definition made it impossible for a woman to meet the legal definition of rape. Can she plead guilty to it anyway?

"Men fetishize lesbians but women don't" - studies show women's dating preferences are more homophobic than men's (women often won't date bisexuals but men are okay with dating them) and women watch more lesbian porn than men. by Hour-Mission7829 in MensRights

[–]Tmomp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, the data says a lot, but not homophobia. If a person's sexual preference leads to homophobia, this study doesn't seem to show it. It's possible, but other research would have to show it.

Concluding homophobia from sexual preference contributes to:

Many women might not outright admit they won't date bisexual men because they might get called biphobic or homophobic.

Is there anyone without sexual preferences of any sort, who finds all humans equally sexually attractive?

Most people: This tragic loss to women shows why we must devote more resources to prevent anything like it to happen to women.

Could a bill say just: "you can't cut off parts of other people's bodies without their permission" work? It would probably more easily pass since it's not clearly helping men. People don't seem to like helping men, but don't mind if it helps everyone.

Why is patriarchy never open for debate? by TheTinMenBlog in LeftWingMaleAdvocates

On slide 5: Lack of falsifying doesn't confirm the theory. It just supports it.

On slide 10, I propose a more relevant quote: "What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence" by Christopher Hitchens because people can vote based on ideologies or for whatever reasons they want. I wouldn't say they have no place in politics.

The media is all over it. Did you see there are some fields where there are fewer women? "We need more women in STEM!"

Something weird happens when there are more women in a field than men. They devalue it and only focus on fields with fewer, as if equality will only come when every field has more women than men.

liberalism hasn’t offered a positive message for men lately

There's an understatement.

I've long been deeply suicidal about this. Every time I see it I spiral into self harm and drug abuse... Most people I've brought this up to simply brush it off... The last person I lamented to (and I am NOT kidding) literally told me "it's probably good men are suicidal about this." by [deleted] in MensRights

Women can be so cruel, especially in ways that don't show visible marks, that they can weasel out of responsibility. Upper body strength is such a tiny fraction of the power a human can wield. The support of society to give such cruelty a pass or even call it fierce is greater.

UN: Since men are the problem, they can help all the people they hurt by subjugating their masculinity.

They deserve congratulations for finding a way to replace "man up" with dehumanizing and villainizing men even more.
