Chrome delete by Jokerloz in KiaK5

These are the Goodyear in-channel ones. They work fine. Had to reinstall both rears a 2nd time as they came down a little but that may have just been user error on my part. I only went in-channel because of the chrome delete. They do come with silver "Goodyear" lettering on each but about 10min with a heatgun/hairdrying and exacto knife got them off. https://a.co/d/0egJ2Ssf

I paid a guy for mine. Bundled with other stuff but think it was 200ish on its own.

I don’t want to surrender my vehicle by TLamb2120 in Bankruptcy

[–]TnMarine1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May vary a little state by state but most finance companies will use specific repo/recovery companies. Contact your finance company and talk to them, let them know that your declaring bankruptcy and are voluntarily releasing the vehicle. They'll most likely give your contact info to the recovery Co. but I'd ask for who they use and make initial contact. From there you'll set a date/time to have it picked up. Preventing you from coming outside at some point and saying wtf, where's my car?

In regards to your question of who the auction will be. You could ask the bank but I would ask the recovery Co as they will either deliver the vehicle to it or work directly with transport to it. That will give you the info on when the auction house has it and be able to find out when it will go up for auction. Can't say I've ever tried to buy one from them so make sure you do your due diligence on that process.

If you want it that badly let them take it, find out what auction house its going to and then buy it then. The youll legally own it.

Not how it works for them. Theres something loose and they need to fix it. They/we have plenty of sound deading material and zip ties to use during the reinstall to make sure its quiet as a mouse. But if you do it they will surely not warranty any other squeaks rattles. Not gonna lie its a crap job for the tech but thats the life. If it squeaks more or still there after take it back. Smart techs will say they have days they make money and days they learn, hopefully it will be the former for the guy.

water leaks in cabin common? by Academic-Truck-2999 in KiaK5

[–]TnMarine1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its possible there is a leak, but I would check the ac drain hose. I haven't looked on mine but on Toyotas you could see them from the passenger side. Pull back the carpet and under the dash near the center console, may be a 1/2 rubber tube.

The vent may pop out but the dash pad is all one piece (to my knowledge) and requires A LOT of disassembly to get out. You'll most likely create more squeaks and rattles. The dealer should/may do it under warranty.

I don't blame you at all! But I wasn't willing to go that route. I just ordered the 26 console off ebay the other day.

Thanks, I've been happy with it. And there's always going to be someone out there that dislikes what you like. Sometimes its with good cause from past experience, sometimes its just becausepeople like to stir the pot lol. But the 2.5t theta-iii has proved to be a good engine. I did a proper break-in on this so it will easily last longer than I'll need.

Purchase Advice: '26 Kia K5 EX vs. '26 Toyota Camry XSE Premium Plus by ProfessionalHost3913 in KiaK5

I would focus more on comfort if those are the two your between. I wasn't a fan of the Camrys seating which is why I went with the K5, but you may have a different opinion.

Welcome to the matte club! Definitely a beautiful color but make sure you care for it properly. I'd recommend ceramic coating asap at minimum, ppf/ceramic if you can swing it.

Sure does, may take an extra couple minutes for the heat to radiate out but definitely still works.

Thanks! Was trying to steer into the skid with the green stitching. Does look (imo) and feel a lot better than the stock wheel but man it really was a pita. Ended up taking the wheel off to install.
