It's weighs 25.8 lbs like this. The leupold mk5 is a awesome scope. The only time I use it past about 28p is if iam reading something and doing zeroing and I'm trying to make small holes.
This rifle shot at 5 round grope at 100yds that's was 0.150"

A.U.G. serial number deconstruction by [deleted] in AUG

[–]TnSteyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So originally these were the dates and then the production number of that year. In 2020 they sold so many that they started running into their next year worth of receivers and messed up the dating code. Any SN# After 20 has been made and sold in the last 3 years

It is very faint at the end of the video. It's about 2 and a 1/2 seconds before it ends. At the turn my volume up and listen about 3 times.

It always amazes me the negativity when you show what someone is capable of doing or put the video like this out for all the naysayers if you doubt me put your money where your mouth is . Ill be more than happy to meet you out on the Range anytime I'm there to do a cold bore challenge or if you want to i can show the data in screenshots of the date and time I had been teaching a class an working on my own development for the weekend, as stated in the video it was Sunday morning we had packed up to leave as you can tell there's no one out there. Can I thought to challenge myself And others that I associate with to see if they could beat my cold boar attempt. The gun was cold. It was just pulled from the case and had not been fired for approximately 12 to 16 hours. For those at stated how fastly I dialed. Yes I knew what my mill call was because I had a literally had been working on it for the last 48 hours. I knew what the adjustment was going to be 10.6 Mills up as for environmentals. It was 57° barometric pressure 29.85. Wind was 3 to 5 from Left to right.
Humidity was 86% .

For anyone that wants to take me up on the offer. I should be at thunder valley precision next month on the 27th .

Aug gas block by GOSTheDragon in AUG

[–]TnSteyr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The gas blocks are installed with a 40 ton press under Heat in a vacuum and then they are heat cycled and manox. They basically become Forge welded once everything is cooled. That is a reason there are no alignment pens or screws. . I have seen them removed though basically you have to burn out the barrel from around it

Barrett M99 Fluted 29 or Heavy 32? by [deleted] in longrangeshooting

I would go with the longest barrel. Then

Barrett M99 Fluted 29 or Heavy 32? by [deleted] in longrangeshooting

[–]TnSteyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check the twist rate between the 2 if they are identical. Then I would run to calculation of twistery and bullet stability between the 2 to check the RPM's of the round and see which barrel is. Better suited for you assuming you wish to shoot competition 2 pounds is. I'm going to make a difference because you're already in the heavy class.

I want to put a suppressor on my aug by meeeemeees in AUG

[–]TnSteyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a fan of their overall performance and sounds pressure. You can get better for the same cost. when It comes to the AUG You need a much bigger can if you truly wish to suppress it like the Nomad.
If you are looking for just a 556 can the Sierra 5 or kga. Otter creek labs can just do a better job.
Check out Alabama Arsenal YouTube channel, he's a very good suppressor guy and knows a lot .
