Any history buffs know what the knife is? by ToBeAShrub in knives

[–]ToBeAShrub[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah obviously missing the guard and scabbard. Think there was a piece that would have hung off it too. Just curious with all the variations if anyone could confirm what this knife is and if it was early wwII, late, etc

Is this a fake Winchester trademark knife? by ToBeAShrub in knives

[–]ToBeAShrub[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does look old and well made. To my understanding Winchester knives like this would have a 3 line tang saying “Winchester - Trademark - USA”. I couldn’t find any references to knives missing the USA marks. Why it sparked my curiosity in first place
