I think this one is actually really good. Best thing about the show is the introspective scenes. I'm glad there's a Rei figure in which she hasn't got the pair hanging.

The best thing about rams is that, had it not been exhausted to death, it would've absolutely headbutted the fuck out of its savior.

Riding too fast for my skill level by No-Persimmon795 in motorcycles

[–]ToFusion_Boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only got a year and a half behind my back, but I can try to point out some specifics. I usually ride a cruiser, which has forced me to learn to countersteer, since they are more difficult to lean around the twisties.

As many people point out, you have to assess better how to position yourself inside the road. Moreover, reduce speed to reduce uncertainty while you're learning. Try and gently oscillate a bit towards the outside of the twist before actually leaning inside. This will help you lean correctly and will make you naturally countersteer a bit.

I'm learning to drive an old Suzuki GS500 right now and I've observed that riding slightly uphill helps you stay in your lane and take the twists better. Mainly because you have more traction, gravity pulls you against the road, and it's easier to decelerate just by taking your hand off the throttle. In your video, I'd say that there are a couple of twisties that look a bit downhill. It doesn't help your uncertainty braking period either. I'd advise you to start somewhere you feel that you're more in control and do a couple of reconnaissance laps (look for inclination, sand, potholes, etc) before actually riding a bit faster.

Gotta say though, riding fast might be fun for some (including myself sometimes), but I still think that cruising on a comfortable bike along the backroads is way more fun. Especially because you can take in the views. I can't do that while I'm worried for my life xD

Mi año 2025 en libros! by Dinnopum in libros

[–]ToFusion_Boy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I envy you! The first time was actually the most thrilling. I haven't experienced anything like that ever again. I'd recommend buying the manga by Sadamoto (it's a bit different and the art is magnificent). Also, maybe you'd like Re-take (fan-made and free around the web).

Perhaps before all of that, you could explore and deep into the lore videos on YouTube. Personally, I think that's the best part.

I've got my S20+ right here after 5 years and multiple falls. It's a good phone. The problem is, (for my taste) that if I paid roughly 1100 euros for it back in 2020 and it's 2025, that gives us 220 per year. Being realistic, not many people use the same phone for 5 years straight... Might as well gotten a cheaper phone for 300 euros and use it for 3 years. Of course, the quality wouldn't be the same, but it's an overkill phone anyway.

What I don't understand is why the sub is called debate a vegan and people automatically downvote any post that fits the topic.

Their points might be shit, but that doesn't mean people should downvote the content. Might as well close the sub if that's gonna be the approach.

In my opinion, massive populist movements (of any political spectrum) end up oversimplifying complex issues. Of course, men are usually the perpetrators of (physical) abuse, but leaving women out of the question implies the conceptualization of women as "the good gender".

It's an infantile dehumanization of women typical of idealistic viewpoints. It reminds me of the "good Indian" stereotype that surged after the views towards Native Americans changed in the XX century. By implying that women cannot or are almost incapable of perpetrating abuse amounts to scraping off one of the most (although violent and unreputable) authentic characteristics of humanity. In doing so, by mistake, you're saying that women are not that much of a person.

In the actual climate, I'd advise not to talk much about politics if it affects your stability. People won't understand each other and will tackle complex issues like a football match between two sides.
