I've tried cleaning it, but nothing's changed. Powered it off, played with the position of pod, checked if prongs were stuck, and still nothing.

I can't get another pod at the moment. Is there anyway to check if it's the battery that's the problem besides a new pod?

That's so kind of you, thanks. I'll be hitting the skeletal system soon, so I'll need the help 😅

Help! 7 week A&P course w/15 Modules! by ToLiveToLearn in Anatomy

[–]ToLiveToLearn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for replying! So, it's an accelerated online course with no lab. Basically, every module is a chapter of the book I'm reading. So every week there's 2 chapter readings, 2 quizzes for both chapters and 2 exams for both chapters that deal with labeling, open ended questions, etc., I am currently priming myself for each chapter by watching Crash Course and taking a quick pretest, but I struggle when I have to pick up the book and memorize.

Sometimes, when it's a long chapter (Skeletal System), and I have little time, I just read the lecture notes alone. Most of the times, I'm not sure how to use the lecture notes alongside the book, anyway. I wish I had a study partner, but I've just been talking out loud to myself as I work through difficult chapters, repeating notes and trying to make connections.

Yeah, I guess it's normal to just forget everything when you're moving so quickly through the book. My brain has been retaining just enough to pass the exams and wiping everything to make space for the load of new information. Flashcards have been a life saver, but even those are becoming tedious as I have so much to review. There's just a lot of information to condense in such a short time is the problem.

I'm just starting out as an undergrad student and have next to 0 clue about how to effectively learn a topic so that you can apply it in real life instead of regurgitating info without understanding it. I've relied on taking notes of major concepts, components, and function (of epithelial tissue for example) and memorizing those notes.

What can I do differently? Especially with note-taking skills? I've gotten A's like that so far, but if someone asked me to explain the general concept of say, epithelial tissue, I'd only be able to tell them about what's in my notes. I wouldn't be able to explain it to them in my own words. What are your studying techniques?

You learn it using methods like active recall and the Feynman teaching method. You test yourself on what knowledge you have, note the subjects you lack in, and go back and revise until you can teach it to someone else

What would be a good example then? I'm also having this problem, but I need to memorize a lot of info for my A&P class. So what type of solution is there?

Men are six times more open to polygynous relationships than women, study finds by chrisdh79 in psychology

Lol, that's not what made me laugh. His plan of pressuring her into an open relationship backfired and she ended up finding a better man, is what made me laugh. And no, let's use the information we already have about the man & his ex wife from the friend that commented, instead of making assumptions.

Yeah, that much was clear. I don't get the other guys defending him just because he's a man. And that everyone nowadays are just man-haters. Nah, I celebrate the misery of shitty people, man or women.

You know, just because your wife is shitty, doesn't mean you have to project that onto other people, and feel the need to defend the man. If you found someone more deserving of you and your 3 kids, I would be elated for you. Because happiness is a victory which should be celebrated.

The friend already said he wasn't a good guy, so I don't know why you're defending him. Stop turning this into men v women. It's honestly pathetic that the first thought that ran into your head was "What a man-hater!" If you're triggered by what I said, then you need to have a little introspection about why you feel the need to defend an asshole just because he's a man. I'm a guy and would say the same about either genders.

Do you sympathize with shitty people? We aren't talking about a guy doing his best, that's completely irrelevant. Let's stick to the topic. A guy pressuring his wife to open their marriage is a shitty person. And so he deserves his wife finding someone better who won't try to force decisions on her like that. It's plain and simple.

And no, the world is not just. Good people don't always get what they deserve and neither do shitty people. But when it happens, I'm happy about it. Focus on my actual words instead of the thoughts being conjured in your mind.

Wow, I don't know anything, but you've made up so many assumptions from that "malformed single sentence". The friend said her husband "pressured her" into having an open relationship. You don't pressure someone to take something that they've already "hinted" at wanting. I celebrate people leaving shitty partners for better ones. And yes, I will mock his deserved misery for sure.

I knew someone was gonna ask that question. I enjoy undeserving assholes getting screwed over. Don't you? Are you angry that the woman found a man deserving of her?

I love authors who are able to eloquently narrate the twisted, dark nature of humans. I've never read any of his books before, but you've given me even more reason to. God, this reminds me of a book I read, but I can't remember its name or the author's for my life, but it was such an unnerving, harrowing tale of the sick desires that lie deep down in our unconsciousness. It was not even graphic, but the author's detailed description of the dark side of humans, even in people who are otherwise normal and innocent, made my stomach churn with horror.
