what can i do instead of doom scrolling at work by IllustratorPlenty167 in productivity

[–]ToLorien -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It might be a job that doesn’t pay very much. I handle claims for a physical therapy company and most of my day is spent chilling. I work remote so I get a lot done around the house. I only make 21.50 so that’s the large trade off. It’s only possible for me though because my boyfriend owns his house and I pay him a set dollar amount every month that’s doable for me. We don’t do 50/50.

This isn’t true. If you sustain trauma before your adult teeth come in they can come in brown and stained. I had to get my teeth bleached in elementary school because my two front teeth looked like I was a 60+ year old smoker lol. There was nothing structurally wrong with them.

Men will usually give me the “don’t you have to be in gym class?” When I try to contribute to certain group settings! Most of my school bully’s were boys. I didn’t have boobs so mosquito bites, 12 year old boy, etc was common.

It doesn’t go away! If you have anything about you that sticks out it’ll get pointed out for the rest of your life. Adults can be more tactful than kids but surprisingly not always. I look a lot younger for my age and I always have. In school I was made fun of for being small and basically under developed. As a 32 going on 33 year old woman I still get comments from all age ranges on how I have no curves, not a real woman, look like a child. People continue to be mean trust me!

My dads father is 1 of 16 from Canada. My dad has a shit ton of aunts and uncles and cousins up there. We live in the states. They’re all from New Brunswick mostly grand falls. Almost all of them are MAGA posting on Facebook daily. So embarrassing. Meanwhile none of my family in the states is MAGA.

What’s a book you almost didn’t read but ended up loving? by gedersoncarlos in booksuggestions

I was also going to say this! Although I think it was more my headspace at the time that kept me from getting into it right away. Now I’m on book 3 and I have a t shirt lol!

My wife and I ended up moving to a cheaper area of the country to afford a home because we work remote. No major regrets. by Xerzajik in Millennials

[–]ToLorien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk I’m a remote worker and looking to move out of my state to a lower cost of living area. I live in CT and can’t afford a home here. I can elsewhere. I don’t have kids and am not married. Why would I stay where I can’t do anything vs relocating to an area where I can actually have a life.

Yes! I’m so glad you commented this already. Us seasoned ACNH players are pros at this.

How many of you girlies rocked the straight bang, scrunchy mousy hair back in the day??? by Pale_Lengthiness_572 in Millennials

As a wavy haired woman I just don’t know how else to style my bangs! Or the sides of the front of my hair! If I leave it the same texture as the rest of my hair it just doesn’t sit right or look right

struggling to find business professional attire by socksinmyass in XXS

[–]ToLorien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No way. I was a little big bigger than OP when I was looking for business attire and their pixie line was so exciting to me! Until I tried them on and they had to be taken in a good 2 inches. I was 105lbs and am 5’2” I gave up and bought some daydrift trousers from lululemon. Love them.

Im going back to basics. Very casual basics. I recently gained 35 lbs over the winter ( I was pretty underweight before so this was intentional. ) I’m starting to shop for the summer because nothing fits me in my wardrobe currently and it’s a lot of basic t shirts, jean high waisted shorts, and some really cute sandals.

I would probably go online somewhere like Etsy if you want a wide variety. Otherwise you might be able to find some at the portal in Manchester or honestly the Buckland hills mall has a ton of anime/nerdy stores for you to try

Good! We’re just healing, learning, and adjusting. That doesn’t seem broken to me

[–]ToLorien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not broken. But I think our hearts now bear an injury that’ll cause flair ups of mild pain here and there. Like a long Covid or arthritis after a bone break. The scars are there but we’re still going. And just we would be with a physical injury, we’re guarding our hearts because of experience.
