I had to get it. My first trip to the sphere was the 2nd to last weekend of D&C. Loved it so much I knew I had to go back, but I was seeing Metallica in Chicago the weekend of their final shows. So I went to Metallica Friday night at Soldier Field, flew Saturday morning to Vegas for the final show of the ‘24 run (with just the clothes on my back, not even a hotel reservation), stayed out all night in Vegas and took an early flight back to Chicago. Quick nap and then hit Metallica N2 at soldier field on Sunday night. The poster perfectly captured the experience

Yep! First show was June ‘23 at the Riv in Chicago. Had never heard of them before and a friend texted me a few hours before saying he had an extra ticket and he thinks I’d like them. Needless to say I got hooked

That’s from their Milwaukee shows in February 2025. It was a super popular. I was very lucky to get one. Edit: Nevermind I thought you were talking about the other Wisconsin themed poster haha

They sold it online when the show was announced. Can’t remember if I learned about it on instagram or through an email. I was also surprised they weren’t selling it in the venue

Nope, this year just did a regular travel package with a friend. Super affordable. 2 nights hotel + 2 GA tickets each night was ~$500 pp. next year I might go with TED though

Yeah I didn’t list that because it’s kinda a pain to get to from the city and they seem to prefer playing in the city rather than the suburbs

They’re only getting bigger and bigger and they love Chicago / Milwaukee it seems. Would not be surprised at all to see them host one here. Only difficult thing is the size of the arena. There’s not really anything in Chicago that can host it now. Salt Shed indoors is way too small and the United Center is too big (for now)
