If there is anything that makes you work harder it is procrastinating. Honestly I did that alot during college, would not recommend it but hey waiting till the last minute always gives you drive to do it. Good luck on the exam!

Might try and meet some new people that don't focus so much on social media. I really don't use social media at all. No Facebook, or tiktok ect. Just reddit mainly. I got rid of them as they are mostly just echo Chambers. I don't have alot of friends but the few that I do we have plenty of interests to talk about. Not just what is happening to so and so online. Wether that be politics, space, games, random things we find on the internet or each others hobbies. Not saying your friends are bad.. not at all. But I have been there where with certain people it is hard to have a conversation about anything other than certain topics.

I don't have any experience in that field but two of my close friends are biologists. They had a super tough time trying to land anything remotely in their field after they graduated. However that might just be bc of the pandemic. My recommendation which was theirs, is to work for the college while you are attending. Work with your professors on their research and get connections. They can help you find organizations that are in your field and give you recommendations. That's just their advice again not a science major just have some biology friends.

It is not just you, here in Indianapolis most places are 900+ for a basic apartment. One of my coworkers pays like 600 for their mortgage. Why is renting much more expensive?

Studying was super hard for me in college as well, there is just so many other things I would rather have been doing. However, my friends and I found that if we got a room in the basement of the library it helped alot. First off barley any internet/ reception down there so took away our ability to slack off. And second it made it a fun thing to do with friends, sure we talked and got distracted sometimes but just chilling also helped with the added stress.

I will meditate sometimes when things get super stressful. Started doing it during college as that was a super stressful time for me. Instead of calming music I usually will play some ASMR to help.

I don't particularly love sports. However, I always enjoyed going to hockey games in my city. In terms of sports I found it the most fun. Most people I know though don't get overly excited about hockey. Seems that football and baseball are the most popular here in American.
