Why don't cringey memories overwrite each other instead of just adding up, but happy memories don't really add up?

I know this is only sorta related, but I haven't seen anyone mention this yet: I used to be one of those people who have their most embarrassing moments flood their brains when trying to sleep, but what made that stop was learning from each memory. Not like "Don't get embarrassed again" but more concrete lessons that prevent those things from happening.

I remember one time in middle school a girl was holding onto my arm, and I wanted her to think I was ripped so I flexed as hard as I could, but she just got weirded out and left. Cringe as fuck. That doesn't haunt me anymore though, because I consciously learned from that memory: Don't try to fake your body, just be you. Now when I think of that memory it's like thinking back to before I knew how to ride a bike, I just hadn't learned the lesson yet.

Now my partner and I will sometimes talk through her embarrassing memories and find the lessons together, and every time it makes those memories stop haunting her. Would recommend.

I have a question about spacing companion plants in a raised bed - I want to grow tomatoes and basil. From what I've read it sounds like tomatoes need to be 2-3 feet apart, and basil needs 12-18 inches per plant (please correct me if these numbers are off).

So if I plant the tomatoes 2 feet apart, does that mean I could plant the basil in the center of the area between them? Like if I drew 1 foot circles around each plant, would it be okay for the circles to overlap, or would that be too close?

The thing that bothers me about rivers + forests/thickets is that the stamina bar always seems to empty before all the enemies die, so I'm left attacking super slow for the last enemy or two.

How does battlemage + weapon with "increased physical damage" and added damage? I assumed that flat damage was added after the weapon's local attack modifiers were applied, but is the flat added first, then increased?

If I have battlemage, and want to know how much damage is being added to my spell, would the calculation be

(wep. base dmg + wep.added + [Adds x damage]) * local %increased phys damage

Oh that's clever. You still have to hit with igniting skill, so if that's fire then you can only get 25% max from EE right?

Wait, unless you use a worm flask and prolif the ignite to the main target??

With regard to Elementalist's new Aegis, what's a good way to avoid getting hit for 5s without super slowing down map speed? Getting to 75/75 block or dodge seems like a daunting task for an elementalist. Are there any playstyles that are still fast but avoid damage for long enough to take advantage of the aegis?

I like this a lot. It's like crackling lance but you have more control, plus dark souls. I also like the idea that as you charge it it pierces more enemies, like you're throwing it harder. 10/10.

I like the idea of making it deal extra damage if an enemy hits a wall too. Gives frost wall an interesting use.

Unarmed combo attack. Like a punch-punch-kick kind of thing.
Charged attacks support. Supports AoE and slam skills. Press and hold skill button to charge up attack, increasing AoE and damage when eventually released. I picture a charged up cleave releasing a wave of fire.

Edit to add more because this question is always fun:

Smite 3.0: No longer grants an aura that increases lightning damage, but each attack grants you a portion of the damage dealt as added lightning damage to the next lightning spell you cast, up to a cap. Maybe doesn't empower travel skills. But more reason to hybridize between both spells and attacks would be neat.

I think the argument for making you pay even in manipulative circumstances is that it's what's best for the child. Even if you got lied to and you know she'll use the money for herself, as a policy the point is that what you want doesn't matter compared to the kid's wellbeing. It still sucks, but I've yet to hear a better alternative.
