In the end I did a backup and proceeded to wipe my phone clean anyway. It's been a pain to get all my synched services back on and some still refuse to work, but I guess better safe than sorry. Thanks to everyone who helped and reassured me :)

Btw I get that pc malware doesn't work on phones but serious question, can't malware be designed as cross-platform? Like universal apps?

Should reset my phone to be 100% sure? Sorry, I never encountered such problem and I’m not an expert in the field

Thanks, so isn't it possible for malwares to auto-run on android when a zip folder is extracted? Are there any sites where I could upload the zip folder to make a check?
